Threezero posted updated pictures of the upcoming Titanfall Atlas mech and it looks fantastic! For those of you that might be living in the dark, Titanfall is a game from Respawn the co-creators of Call of Duty. It is a first person shoot ’em up that involves playing as a human fighting other humans and mechs, or piloting a mech. The game was released in March and is available in Microsoft platforms, PC and Xbox. My youngest son bought the game and plays it off an on. The other day I asked him if he was still playing it and he informed he is at some double digit level. I have no idea what this means but it’s supposed to be good, or good for a 9 year old?
Threezero’s announcement of the Titanfall license has him up in arms. I showed him the latest pics from their Facebook page and he immediately asked to break out the currency converter to figure out how much we think this will cost. Based on Mazinger and Fullmetal Ghost we are guessing this 20.5 inch mech with 6 inch pilot will run about 330 USD. He’s got over half that saved and asked me to help him save the rest. That my 9 year old is saving money is cool, that he wants to spend it on this beauty, is also cool. In my time I saved up to get Bandai’s Godaikin toys in my time.
And I’ll be honest with you, I love the look of the figure as well, the mech and soldier designs are top notch. The fact that these are 1/12 scale, six inch scale, just gets me all the more excited. Just like with Threezero, Bandai, and Kunio Okawara’s Fullmetal Ghost I might have to pick this amazing looking toy up.
