This week’s featured custom is Arez’s Angel!
The Marvel Legends wave 10 Angel was a nice figure for its time, but the sculpt was a little gangly and the loose articulation did not hold the massive wings up very well. Arez address these issues admirably in this custom by swapping the ML 10 head sculpt onto a more solidly built DCUC figure base with folded wings.

Judging by the number of this style Red Hood customs, it’s pretty clear that Mattel picked the wrong version for inclusion in DCUC. The leather jacket look always seems silly to me in the comics, but this custom makes it look good. I also dig the detail lines sculpted into the glossy hood head sculpt and all the additional accessories.
Mired in legal issues, ROM fans can only get their fix via custom figures. This is an interesting take on the character. It’s more grungy than I’m used to seeing, but I like it.
This repaint makes the already awesome Marvel Now! Cap that much cooler.
Whiskeytango continues to kill it with the original sculpting on these two Warhammer figures. You need to see more pics of these on his thread.
