I want good, fully articulated Gatchaman action figures! I want awesome sculpts and so much posing potential that my fingers and brain reach exhaustion of playing with these action figures!
Look, the movie may not be the next big blockbuster or push the levels of movie making. But it’s live action Gatchaman! For those of you old enough to have grown up on Battle of the Planets, the American adaptation, this is a must-have toy line. There have been attempts before, but nothing to write home to mom an dad about. But these days with Figma, S.H. Figuarts, and any number of Japanese toys, companies are making very articulated action figures, and this is a property demanding some action figure love. This preview was recently posted on youtube and it seems to be a legit TOHO posting.

Since Godzilla is already being done by Bandai Monster-Arts, one could guess that the relationship with TOHO would make it possible to have Gatchaman S.H. Figuarts! We would need anime versions — the original Tokosatsu Productions versions! And movie versions. Oh my brain is tickled with the possibilities of having Gatchaman toys. I could recreate some of my favorite fighting scenes from Tokosatsu vs Capcom! Or some of my favorite Battle of the Planets fantasies!
