This week’s featured custom is Discogod’s Shredder!
I love the NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle figures and I consider the un-produced Shredder and Hand Ninja figures from that line to be one of the great ‘tragedies’ of un-produced action figure goodness (Legendary Comic Book Heroes series 3 is another). It looks to me like Discogod feels the same, because he’s done an amazing job creating a custom in the style of that un-produced Shredder figure.
He did an original sculpt of the chest and the mask that’s so great it almost looks like a cast from those NECA prototypes. The sculpting and paint is so factory smooth and flawless looking.
He looks amazing with the NECA Turtles, it’s bittersweet. I mean, it’s great to admire this custom, but man we all could have had this awesomeness if only NECA had been able to produce these figures! GAAAAAH!
