This week’s featured custom is GrownNerd’s 7th Kingdom Snapping Turtle:
GrownNerd + 7th Kingdom + Mutant Turtle = custom bliss. I dig this figure on a few different levels. First off, I’m a big fan of the 7th Kingdom property, so it’s always great to see quality customs in this style.
Secondly, I bought that base figure thinking it would be good for custom, but really could not for the life of me think of what to make from it once I had it. One of the greatest joys for me as a custom figure fan is to see people solve the problems that stump me. It’s inspiring and charges my creative battery.
Third, this is just an all around high quality custom. The sculpting modifications on the head completely transforms the base figure into a really different look.
