LEGENDARY MARVEL COMIC UNIVERSE HEROES CLASSICS
Wave 1: The Gunslinger Series
The year is 2008. It is a dark time for Marvel Legends fans. To help
re-invigorate the ailing line, a mysterious and totally 3rd party
benefactor, known only as Mr. Orbsah, contacted rogue (and
semi-retired) customizer Distant Thunder with a very important mission:
He was to raid the illustrious toy creator (and toy Jesus) Jesse
Falcon’s super-secret Marvel Legends vault, containing the worlds most
perfect and unreleased action figures.
Sadly, Distant Thunder is lazy, and settled for raiding a Rite-Aid
instead. And with these gas prices, who wouldn’t? Besides, Rite-Aid
carries a wonderful selection of frozen treat and beverages…
Anyway,
Distant Thunder studios went to work on building the return to
greatness for Marvel Legends, using the old Legends and a surprisingly
good stock of DC Superheroes figures he found while looking for a
triple chocolate Drumstick.
Sadly, Mr. Orbsah backed out of the deal, after face-palming and
muttering something about comic accuracy, and not enough classic
costumes….
And here they are!
Bullseye-
Bullseye is barely considered a gunslinger, since he
favors playing cards, toothpicks and paper clips as his weapons of
choice (wanker), but he is an accomplished marksman.
He features 23 points of articulation, and comes with gun and knife accessories.
Black Widow-
One of the better femme fatale characters to come out
of comics, Black Widow comes with sidearm, modified rifle, and
night-vision goggles. She has 21 points of articulation.
Nick Fury-
The coolest Clint Eastwood rip-off in history is here in
his eyepatchin’ glory….yeah. Anyway, Fury comes with a Jetpack,
sidearm, modified rifle and shotgun. Hookers sold separately. 25
points of articulation here as well.
Taskmaster-
Stupid name, cool special
ability, decent costumes. 2/3 ain’t bad. Taskmaster comes with dual
swords, modified sidearm, shield, and sub-machine gun. He has 21
points of articulation.
Deadpool-
In his custom action figure debut, Deadpool is the pinnacle of an
original character design, hard-hitting realism, and complete 100%
comic accuracy, with no detail spared attention, and absolutely no
corners cut to prevent paint rub. He comes with swords, AK’s, sidearm
and knife. He has 21 points of articulation.
