DC COMICS OFFERS A SPECTACULAR NEW HARDCOVER EDITION OF NEIL GAIMAN AND CHARLES VESS’S STARDUST

A classic Vertigo tale returns this January in the spectacular new hardcover edition of NEIL GAIMAN AND CHARLES VESS’S STARDUST.  Available in hardcover for the first time since 1998, this oversized edition features both a new painted cover and brand-new art and sketch material from Vess.

NEIL GAIMAN AND CHARLES VESS’S STARDUST HC will be advance solicited in the September Previews (Volume XVI #9) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on January 3 with a cover price of $39.99 U.S.

The “Pop Culture” page at the Entertainment Weekly website features a review of 52, with Ken Tucker writing, “Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, and Mark Waid have come up with plots about transformation, betrayal, love, and commitment that are enhanced by the myth-making superpowered characters.  Now 16 weeks in, this is as addictive as any good TV series, any good mystery-novel series, any good comic-book series.”

52 WEEK 21 ON FINAL ORDER CUTOFF THIS WEEK!

52 WEEK 21 (JUL060171) is on final order increase cutoff this week.  Wednesday, August 30 is the last chance for retailers to adjust their initial orders up or down on this issue. 

52 WEEK 21 is written by Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka and Mark Waid, with breakdowns by Keith Giffen, art by Joe Bennett & Jack Jadson and a cover by J.G. Jones.

Please note that beginning now, WONDER WOMAN will be published on a bimonthly schedule.   

WONDER WOMAN #3 (JUN060222) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on October 11.  

All orders on WONDER WOMAN #4 (JUL060198) have been cancelled.  This issue will be resolicited in the October Previews (Volume XVI #10), scheduled to arrive in stores in December.

DC COMICS CLARIFIES VARIANT COVERS FOR FOUR TITLES SOLICITED IN THE AUGUST PREVIEWS CATALOGUE

In response to inquiries from retailers, DC Comics announces a clarification on the variant editions of four titles solicited in the August Previews (Volume XVI #8).   

The titles are JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #3, SUPERGIRL AND THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #23, TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED #1 and A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET #1.  Details concerning these variant editions were inadvertently left out of the August Previews Retailer Order Form. 

Confirming the text in the August Previews catalogue, each of these titles will feature two covers that may be ordered separately.  One copy of the Variant Editions may be ordered for every 10 copies of the Standard Edition ordered.  Details are as follows: 

• JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #3 Variant Edition (AUG060212): Written by Brad Meltzer, this edition includes a variant cover by Chris Sprouse & Karl Story and interior art by Ed Benes & Sandra Hope.  Retailers may order one copy of this variant for every 10 copies ordered of JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #3 (AUG060211), with a cover by Michael Turner.  Both versions have a Final Order Cut-Off (FOC) date of Thursday, September 28 and are scheduled to arrive in stores on October 18. 

• SUPERGIRL AND THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #23 Variant Edition (AUG060227): Written by Mark Waid, this edition features a variant cover by Adam Hughes and interior art by Barry Kitson & Mick Gray.  Retailers may order one copy of this variant for every 10 copies ordered of SUPERGIRL AND THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #23 (AUG060226), with a cover by Kitson.  Both versions have an FOC date of Thursday, October 5, and are scheduled to arrive in stores October 25.  

• TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED #1 Variant Edition (AUG060229): Written by David Lapham and Brian Azzarello, this edition features a variant cover by Neal Adams with interior art by Eric Battle, Prentis Rollins and Cliff Chiang.  Retailers may order one copy of this variant for every 10 copies ordered of TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED #1 (AUG060228), with a cover by Mike Mignola.  Both versions have an FOC date of Thursday, September 21, and are scheduled to arrive in stores on October 11. 

• A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET #1 Variant Edition (AUG060276): Written by Chuck Dixon, this edition features a variant cover by Tim Bradstreet and interior art by Kevin West.  Retailers may order one copy of this variant for every 10 copies ordered of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET #1 (AUG060275), with a cover by Tony Harris.  Both versions of this title have an FOC date of Thursday, September 14, and are scheduled to arrive in stores on October 4.

VARIANT COVER UPDATE FOR SKYE RUNNER #4

Please note that the SKYE RUNNER #4 Variant Edition (MAY060223) has been cancelled.  Instead, retailers will receive the SKYE RUNNER #4 Standard Edition (MAY060222) in quantities equal to their combined orders for both editions.   

As a reminder, the SKYE RUNNER #4 Standard Edition will feature two covers: one by Alé Garza & Richard Friend and one by Arthur Adams, which will arrive in stores in a split of approximately 50/50, under the new item code MAY068289. 

Because of this change, this issue will be made returnable at a later date.

PRICE CLARIFICATION ON THE ABSOLUTE SANDMAN VOL. 1 HC

Please note that the correct price of THE ABSOLUTE SANDMAN VOL. 1 HC (AUG060280) is $99.00, not $99.99 as listed in the August Previews Order Form.
