I'm honestly disappointed in the price. Aloy was gonna be $35, the others $20. They don't seem to include enough to be worth that. I still want them, they do look good, but for $30 and $50? That's excessive, not even Neca figures are that much and they far better quality.

I'm pleased w/ Wave 1 so far.  Varl seems like a bit of a throwaway - nothing wrong w/ him as a character per se...just not necessarily iconic/main like the others.

So far...
Horizon Zero Dawn
God of War
Ghost of Tsushima

Coming Soon...
Last of Us

Leaves me wondering what's next?  Seems like the big PS properties to mine would be...
Uncharted
Death Stranding
Days Gone (w motorcycle?)
Detroit Being Human

I'd also love to see them do something with Until Dawn (the first Supermassive horror game - that one was exclusive to PS; the rest have all been on all systems).  Would be fun to get a figure of Hayden Panettiere's character, the psycho in the mask and the creature.

Going to assume they can't do Spiderman (even though the Spiderman game was a PS exclusive).

I don't think we'll see anything from Days Gone. I know we won't see anything from Detroit.

If this line continues, I think they dip back into the classic stuff + Uncharted. I could also see figures from earlier games in the God of War and Last of Us franchises.

I'm guessing that we'll see Nathan Drake for sure in the next wave. I hope he'd be a deluxe. They could do a full line of Uncharted characters and I'd be ecstatic, tbh.

These probably won't be in the next wave but they could do Ratchet & Clank and Rivet & Kit. Sackboy. Infamous. The Last of Us Part II figures are definitely coming.

There's probably going to be some reuse, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see Jin again as he seems to be the easiest to repaint from what I remember. Could see Kratos again with different weapons and the cape he wears on the cover.

And then who knows if they're able to do figures based off of the live action tv and film series. They'd have TLOU, Uncharted, and Twisted Metal.

Uncharted makes a lot of sense.  If Varl is being included, then it feels like Uncharted has quite a few potential "sidekick" characters that could make the cut (especially with Chloe & Nadine having headed up their own game).

It's really too bad that the Rise of the Tomb Raider series wasn't PS exclusive in some way - I'd love to see a proper Lara Croft figure, and I quite liked the Reboot designs.  She'd look great alongside Drake & Aloy.

Hmm. I guess this is a possible line where Eve and Stellar Blade characters can show up as well.

I think we'll see Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, and Sackboy. Maybe Astrobot as well. Kinda seems like Sackboy and Astrobot could be in a two pack, despite being from different games. They're just little guys.

Not sure if that is possible in terms of IP's and all, but I'd love to get classic Lara Croft in this line!

I don't think Eve will get a chance, she's too "exposed" for retail, lol. I would love to see God of War 3 Kratos, Zeus, Hades. Playstation also owns Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, and while I would love to see many figures of both, I feel like we won't even get the main cover looks.

While Kratos' face looks kinda soft and off model, I was really impressed with Jin's. It looks incredibly realistic and on point to the character. I feel like we don't get realistic faces like that on figures most of the time.

Hopefully these get a nice global release.

Saw a comparison of the spin master Jin next to the figma one and the spin master head sculpt is a lot better to my eyes

They do all look pretty good, and I like that they're posing them in the promo shots, instead of just vanilla poses. Methinks whoever did the photography was a fan of the games, or they were just smart and wanted to show action characters in action poses. Still excited to see an official reveal for Joel and Ellie.

I'm still going back and forth on the price. Part of me hates it and wants to wait for a sale. The other part of me wants to get in on the ground floor and show support for the line so we're more likely to get other waves and properties. I guess I'll wait and see how the first couple of in-hand reviews go.

As far as future waves, I'd say Nathan Drake is a given. I'd be more surprised if they didn't make him, and it'll be welcome. We haven't gotten a Drake since NECA's figure, I don't think, and while well-done, wasn't as action-y as many would've liked. I'd also be down for a Ratchet & Clank, and Jak & Daxter. Sly Cooper too, if they ever want to go the more cartoony route. Maybe a Lara Croft- I'm sure they'd go for her 2013 onward look, which I'm down for. Would be cool to see a Bloodborne figure or 2. A Clicker that gets the same treatment as Aloy- interchangable face plates and such. Really, the possibilities are near endless, just depends on how well it sells and how deep they want to go. Including someone like Varl is at least a nice indicator that they're willing to do more than just the figurehead characters for each game.

@spinc I think Eve still has a good chance to get made. If not in this line, then figuarts, Figma, or Storm.  Her default outfit covers her up pretty well and is just skin tight.  She’s even more covered up than classic Lara Croft. It’s her alternate outfits that are probably not going to get made. If they make Raven and Tachy figures, a simple head swap would allow Eve some more alternate outfits. I may be the minority but I actually prefer her more covered up suites. My favorite suites for her were the 6th division dive suites in both the black and red colors and the grey, black, and blue colors. I also liked using Raven’s outfit for Eve as well.

the entire line was briefly available for pre-order on amazon last night, and I was able to lock in pre-orders for everyone except Jin. Be real cool if they shipped early.

So, uh, bring on wave 2! 😤 🤣

Agreed about the price. It's a bit steep, but I'll have to see how the figures feel in hand. I think that extra cost is going toward the paint, which does seem to be pretty intricate for the most part. The deluxe is where it really seems excessive.
