Oh that looks sweet. That's a great face print, plus multiple paint hits... Spin Master's doing good!

Not going to lie,  that looks incredible and I would be sorely tempted -  but I'm going to have to see it standing next to some other 1:12 figures before I know if I'll consider buying it.

If it can reasonably stand next to my G.I. Joe Classified figures and not look puny,   I'm in.    If it's going to be half a head shorter than those guys I can't do it.   The comparison picks for Aloy were so disappointing.

I feel like they should've made all the figures "deluxe." Like Kratos, Jin doesn't look nearly as good as Aloy.

You can order Kratos on Amazon, same method as before.

I guess we'll get a full reveal around comic con? It's been so strange how these official promotional photos have just sort of trickled out from unknown sources.

I really hope they get some kind of marketing team involved with this line so they can give updates. Its a big property and it looks like they're doing a good job with the actual figures, I'd hate for them to fumble it by keeping everyone in the dark.

Yes, it would suck if this line was DOA because they couldn't find a way to publicize that these things exist.

My son and I are really stoked for Jin and Joel/Ellie. Some favorite video game characters right there. Jin has the usual modern video game protag figure problem in that.. that's not what 'my' Jin looks like. But I'm still excited to see how it turns out. At this point what I really want is to start seeing these figures with other 6" figures. It probably won't make much difference to me buying them, but it will make a difference in how I plan out displaying them.

See,  since I don't play video games, seeing them with other figures is THE determining factor on whether I buy them or don't.    It's what already had me out on Aloy.    I like the pics I saw of Jin but until I see what he looks like standing next to other figures I own I cannot consider ordering.      Hopefully someone somewhere will have some comparison photos for me in the not too distant future...

I think Kratos is going to be the one, for me, that is most determined by scale compared to other figures. I am more than happy to display Joel and Ellie as its own little thing on a bookshelf, so I don't need them to go with anyone else, and in fact I can't imagine any other line of toys I'd want to display them with anyway. MAYBE certain Joe Classified figures if I was really committed to having baddies to fight, but even then there'd probably be a lot of customizing involved and I'm not that invested in it.

Jin I'm less worried about because I feel like he'll fit in -somewhere-, regardless of how big he ends up actually being. If he is right in line with the height of other 1:12 domestic figures, that is fine. If he comes in kind of small, I think that still works if you're looking at it historically (being a Japanese man from the Kamakura period - he -should- be in the 5'3-5'5 range).

But if Kratos comes in kind of small, then potentially the only figure he might look good with is Jin himself.

Frustratingly, it's really hard to judge what might happen based on Aloy. After all.. that's a figure of a teenage girl.

My video game figures are part of their own display, and I have a variety of scales already so it really doesn't matter to me of these fit in with other lines. As long as they're cool figures on their own, I don't really care.

As far as Jin goes, I like the ghost armor well enough but I was rocking the Sakai clan armor so I'd hope to see a figure of that as well.

I also mostly used the Sakai armor.
I imagine with some of these characters - like Kratos and Jin and Aloy, if the figures sell well, then they're going to want to go back and produce those characters again with different looks. It's too easy not to. Especially with characters like Jin where you could basically use the same figure two, three, or four times - paint it different colors - and have a legitimate in-game variant for store exclusives and all that. If every Jin figure has a different sword from the game, for example, there's no way my son lets me get away with not getting every single one.

Be cool to see how this all works out.

I've often thought about having a video game figure shelf. But I feel like I like it more in theory than practice. The more I look at the cross-scale shelves people have, the more it makes my brain itchy. Moreover, there's just not currently enough video game figures that I want to own. Like I have no interest in Mario, Sonic, or Zelda toys. And those seem to take up a lot of real estate in most video game shelves I see.

Now that they've officially revealed most of the wave, I'm even more perplexed by the press rollout. I'll admit that I don't read many action-figure press releases, but that one is exceptionally weird. First, as ASM called out, they insult the other products their target demographic probably buys and loves. Then they follow it with this wet fart of a line: "Ideal Christmas gift, or birthday gifts for all ages." Buy it! We don't care why!

After seeing the rest of the figures, I wish they'd made them all $50 deluxe figures. I'm underwhelmed by the rest of the line.
