Well hell. I had no idea these toys existed. Jin, Joe and Ellie, Aloy and Varl are the one s I’m interested in.
Very excited about these. I wasn't expecting much but that Aloy looks great. I've been waiting for a Jin Sakai that isn't crazy expensive.
This is getting a bit frustrating. Not an insignificant number of people have Aloy in hand already. I'm not sure what Spin Master is waiting for here.
Get some promo pics out. Put up some pre-orders. Let's go.
Yeah, I honestly don't know what happened, I though for sure they would reveal them after the Playstation event. I haven't even played the game and somehow, I'm really excited for the Aloy figure. She looks great poseability-wise, and the faces are nice. Don't understand why they just haven't shown these off.
Amazon put up official pics of Aloy and Varl, none of the others yet.
Hope we get an official reveal and Pre-orders soon. These look good, I'm really excited to see the rest. Video game action figures for modern properties are so hard to come by these days.
I'm actually pretty excited about these. Based on Aloy, they appear to have a good chance at being decent action figures. I've been wanting the chance to have action figures of some of these characters, but not badly enough to go for the really high-end/expensive stuff like Figma or the Mezco-style ones. Too bad it's only Sony properties, because I'd LOVE an Arthur Morgan like the deluxe Aloy.
Hopefully they turn out nice and aren't too hard to get.
Man, I gotta replay Horizon. Never did make it around to Forbidden West (my PS5 came with a download of it that I've yet to redeem). Not entirely sure why, either- I love dinosaurs, I love robots, I love archers. Why not something with all 3?! Darn this ADHD of mine sometimes!
Regardless, I think both Horizon figures look pretty dang good. The price on Aloy is a liiiittle yucky, but at least you seem to get a lot with it. As long as the QC is fine, then I wouldn't feel too bad about spending that on her. But I may also either wait for a sale, or see if there's a more basic version of her coming.
Bring on the others!
This figure looks really nice, but honestly if it doesn't scale well with my existing figures it's a non-starter. The pics of Aloy next to virtually any other current figure made it look so small I lost all interest. If the same is true for Varl I'm going to be a pass on him as well. If he ends up scaling reasonably will with other 6 inch lines I have, he's definitely good enough to pick up.
Some new pics
Kratos looks good although mimir appears to be absent. I assume that means these will be going to retailers and they didn't want to put a severed head out there?
Some of the colors seem a bit more vibrant than I'd expect but it looks like a fun action figure. Not as good as the one I've got from NECA, but they never made anything for Ragnarok so this will have to do. Hopefully this line does well enough for a second wave (assuming all these are part of wave 1) so we can get some supporting characters and villains
Still waiting on a full reveal of these...
While Aloy is smaller than most 1:12s, the character kinda would be anyway I think. She's a clone of a scientist, not some towering amazon, and the game takes place around her 16th birthday so she's still pretty young.
I remember conflicting reports about her age either being 16 or 19. Something about a discrepancy about her official age and her ingame info that you would find playing the games or something like that. Either way, I will pick up Aloy and Varl for sure. Jin, Joel and Ellie are a must also.
I am a fan of both Horizon games and that world so I am a bit biased about Aloy. Particularly her outfits. Is this figure using her default promotional outfit for Zero Dawn or Forbidden West? I never use her default outfits. In Zero Dawn I always used her stealth outfit that looks like a ghillie suite or Shadoweaver. In Forbidden West, I always had her in the same outfit as Varl or the Thunderjaw armor because those looked cooler to me. In fact in the beginning of Forbidden West, I believe she should be wearing Shadoweaver when you first see her. I don’t hate her default look, but at least Shadoweaver should have been used since this line of Horizon figures are from Forbidden West where she has already updated her look from Zero Dawn.
After seeing Aloy, I expect the whole line to clock in under 6". I wouldn't mind if it were true 6" scale, though.
I've got a few complaints about Kratos, but he looks better than I expected. I'm bummed about the single-jointed elbows. They must've run out of budget to paint the details on the Leviathan Axe. My biggest issue is probably the plasticy sheen on his skin. Would've been nice if that were a flatter color.
I'm pretty disciplined about owning only one figure per character. I have four exceptions: Batman, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Magneto. That puts me in a tricky spot with Kratos because the NECA figure is fantastic. Maybe I'll add one more exception. I really want this line to succeed. It'd be nice to get more PlayStation figures, more video game figures, and more figures from a company that seems pretty good at making them.

I understand why they did it. It's her most recognizable outfit even if it isn't her best.
I think they missed an opportunity with Kratos. They should've put him in one of his more ornate armor sets to differentiate from the NECA figures.
I get it with Aloy also as to why they picked her most recognizable look. However if they make non deluxe versions later I’m hoping they pick her other armors or at least Shadoweaver get made and not just release a non deluxe version of her default look. That would be too boring. In fact I think Shadoweaver should be her next look if not her starting look for the next figure. It instills Aloy’s life perfectly of her current world and ties to past technology.
