Have we heard anything regarding the Spinmaster Sony lineup since its announcement like...two years ago?

The press release from that time said they wouldn’t have product until 2024. Why? Not sure. Hopefully we’ll see something at Toyfair.

Hadn't heard about this until now, but I'm intrigued. Spinmaster doesn't have a whole lot in the way of more high end collectibles- I've seen their League of Legends and Dreamworks Dragons figures in store, and while I've never looked at them up close, the pics I see online look pretty good. They do more cartoony designs well, but they haven't done anything too realistic yet (or at least more realistic, like a lot of the Sony properties mentioned) I wonder what their Sony offerings would be, and what scale they're under. Definitely eager to learn more.

If this is what finally gets us an expansive line of The Last of Us figures, then I'll be quite happy, but I won't hold my breath until we see more. Maybe at NYCC?

The Sony gaming properties are so adult-oriented that I don't know why you'd pick up the license without intending to produce adult collectibles/action figures. This is Spinmaster we're talking about, though, so I'll believe it when I see it.

We are absolutely never ever getting this since the IP is deader than dead, but you know what? I'd love to get some Ape Escape figures out of this.

We're gonna be getting a Joel and Abby two-pack in the same style as their DC figures.

We're probably just gonna be getting stuff from Sackboy and Ratchet and Clank. Maybe some Horizon stuff since they don't have guns.

I don't have a lot of faith in this being a line I'd be interested in, but I would love to be wrong.

Although what I really want is for NECA to just keep making Sony figures. Or anyone who can get me a quality Aloy figure. And a Jin Sakai that I can actually afford.

If we get a collector oriented toyline for classic Playstation IPs, that'd be amazing. I'd love to see Syphon Filter, Sly Cooper, Jak, Ratchet & Clank, Little Big Planet, MediEvil, and classic God of War. Extermination is my #1, but I'm not holding out for it.

But that's just not Spinmaster's usual. I imagine this will just be plushies and some knick-knacks. Their 4 inch DC stuff is at least really fun and priced fairly enough, if something like that drops for any of these IPs, I'll pick up a couple.

I just looked at their DC figures. Yeesh. Do a lot of eight-year-olds play God of War and The Last of Us?

I would take some kid-focused Ratchet & Clank merch, though.

Didn't even realize they did the DC line. For some reason, I was thinking that was Mattel. I've picked up a few of the figures through the years- both the big 12 inch and the small 4 inch ones. They're perfectly fine figures for what they are. Would I want Sony figures in the same style? Not necessarily, but at least I'm a little more familiar with their work.

I'd love to see some love for some of the older properties as well. Ratchet and Clank's original toyline I never got to pick up since I never saw it on shelves. Always wished for toys from Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper, but they were never made. Medieval is another throwback I love, and one I'd be fine with only one or two figures from. I have most of the Sony Funko Pops they've made, but they certainly still leave something to be desired.

I'm sure it'll be mostly their newer, more profitable IPs that get coverage, but I'd love to see a mix of old and new.

Has anyone seen photos of the Spinmaster booth at New York Toy Fair? I'm trying to see if any Sony stuff has been shown off. It has to be shown off soon if it's coming in Spring...

At least around here, it wouldn't surprise me to see kids playing those games at that age. I sub, and when I am at an elementary school, I hear them talking about call of duty all the time. I think that they just get into whatever their parents are playing.

Spring 2024 is nigh. Hoping for some 1:12 scale figures. Even if they aren't perfect, I hope to be pleasantly surprised given their League of Legends figures.

SpinMasters are absolute garbage for playability.  They make half-assed display-only trinkets, not action figures.
