Of all the new companies coming to Power Con this year, I was most excited for Premium DNA and getting a chance to get a look at what they’re doing and get a chance to talk to them a bit.
Not only was a super impressed with the Battletoad figures I took him with me, but their EWJ figures look SO cool in person. They’re really enthusiastic for the future of the line and the figures themselves look great in person. Said they should be leaving China in September. I’d originally only ordered Jim and Psycrow from BBTS, but now I might end up going all in.

Awesome. This is one of my most-anticipated lines. I remember staying up most of the night to finish the first Earthworm Jim on the Sega Genesis because it was the dark ages and there was no way to save progress. I just kept saying "don't die don't die don't die" over and over.

Well they just put their exclusive FMF Santa figure up for order and it’s just on their eBay page. So hopefully green EWJ is just as easy to get.

Hey guys I don't mean to spread rumors, but some folks on Reddit have been posting about the huge influx of Premium DNA Earthworm Jim figures being liquidated on Aliexpress right now. They seem to be completely legit, and Jim himself is going for $23 with free shipping. With some poking you can get the rest for around that price. Head pack is $15
Reddit is rumoring that Premium DNA didn't pay their factory so they are selling the figures on Aliexpress to earn back their money. Apparently little while ago PDNA explained the delay to consumers as they didn't like the QC with the batch they received. So maybe this is a trash batch that's being sold by the factory while they produce better ones? And the factory decided to sell what PDNA refused? Though the QC in photos and the couple of YouTube videos of folks who have Jim in hand seem like he's solid. No complaints.
Since this company has a very shady back record (so much so that I decided not to purchase the figures, even having an extreme amount of nostalgia for the original game) I wanted to get you guys in the loop, since many of you might have purchased directly from Premium DNA and not BBTS.
Right now Premium DNA's preorders on their store have all been taken down - you can't actually order any single item from them, they are either out of stock or unlisted. On Facebook they say it's because big things are happening behind the scenes and they are about to relaunch with a bunch of cool new stuff. Maybe that's true, but we'll see.

Well damn. Thanks for the heads up. Went ahead and ordered Jim, Psy-crow, and a head pack.
Obviously was starting to get concerned when we haven’t heard anything from them in a while regarding the EWJ stuff, but when I saw an in-hand pic of Jim pop-up a couple weeks ago, it alleviated things a bit, but now this isn’t looking great.
I don’t think they’re quite the evil con men that some might think, but maybe they’re just not the best at running a business. The Battletoads figures are real nice and Banjo looked nice from pictures, but yeah… you gotta pay your factories.
Yeah, we'll see--the rumor about not paying their factory is from Reddit. Take with a grain of salt I'd say until something further develops, normally I'd sit on something like this but because it's PDNA, they don't have the benefit of my doubt, and I'd hate for people that gave them a second chance to wind up burned.
I decided what the hell and ordered a Jim, head pack and Psycrow. Psycrow is $23.75 at "WMK Toy Store" Jim and the headpack were $43 at "Figures Collector Shop"
I was going to skip this line due to the shadiness (that sounds like the least libelist thing I can call them…) around Doug TenNapel, Tommy Tallarico (no matter how proud his mother may be), and Megalopolis/PDNA… it felt like EWJ was just a cursed franchise with a lot of bad apples hanging around it so due to my own ethics I was going to have to let go of.
But it was the Streisand Effect that got me to order Jim and the Head packs off AliExpress, the guy who broke the news NECA was making Tatsu/Commented on the drama over BFS’ leadership change/Super7’s 2k3 Turts would have double elbows/Super7 could no longer do vintage Turts got into a reddit argument with someone who brought up the “didn’t pay their factories” rumors.
I thought the in hand pics were PDNA finally shipping so I ignored them… but having someone shout “look here, buddy! Cheap figures at rock bottom prices are nothing new! You find deals like this all the time on AliExpress!” got me to order Jim and the head pack for just a little more than Big Bad wants for just the head pack!
Now I can put Jim on my Ninja Turtle shelf and be done with it! Hurray!
