Oh no, Chun-Li number four is coming from EE!
@miraclemen That was a good idea. I didn't want to get in the same situation with Ken as Chun-Li, so I limited my preorder to BBTS and I'll get one in target, if I'm lucky.
Ordered Chun-Li from PaulMart yesterday on Amazon. Chun-Li processing soon message today from BBTS because that's the way things go.
I also have a Chun-Li preordered at EE, but I don't think I can cancel because she was a part of a preorder with two other free shipped items. I get a warning saying, "Cancelling this item may remove promotions used in your order." It was free shipping on $59. The two shipped items were $25 each. I'm not sure if EE would charge the card for shipping.
I'm going to end up with four of these figures 😬

It's ok, Chun Li is an army builder 😉 But not sure why you ordered from a reseller with a reseller upcharge because they don't want to get a real job but instead buy at retail and sell at scalper.
From Paulmart? I used to think the same thing about them when I would look at their online store, not realizing they are including shipping in the price. They're not a Prime seller and have to factor the shipping into their cost I do the same thing on eBay when I offer so called "free shipping". Being an east coast guy, I know that package would cost nearly $10 to CA, more if it was over 1lb.
Opened up the Jada Chun-Li tonight and I gotta give credit where credit is due I have and love the Bandai Chun-Li and Jada, price versus quality, is incredible. the paint apps are better with the expensive import but I am blown away by the range of motion on this figure. Jada is KILLIN' it. I'll buy every Street Fighter figure they put out based on Chun-Li and Ryu. The quality for the price is insane.
Ryu should have the red fireball and Ken the blue one, right?
Ken has never had a red fireball unless you counted the red fireball glitch from World Warriors. I am planning to give Ken's red fireball to Ryu and the blue one to Ken until we get a proper Shoryken flame effect.
I always thought it was off model that Capcom buffed Ryu's fireball but he was always more associated with the Shoryuken (Sagat's scar, his "beat Shenlong to stand a chance" quote), while Ken never had much association with Shoryken, but that was the special he got buffed. I guess they kind of made up for it by giving Ryu his Shin/Metsu Shoryken super.
I'm finally going to get a Ryu, as mine shipped out today from BBTS. I've been looking for it at Target ever since it was released, but I've never seen it (or Fei Long, for that matter) and figured I might as well just bite the bullet.
I do wish they'd do another Ryu with more game accurate coloring (brown hair and brown gauntlets), but this is otherwise way too good to pass up for the price.
I anticipate getting the other two at some point; I just wish you grab them more effortlessly at stores.
My EE Chun-Li is in processing! I can't wait to have her!

Finally found Ryu at Target. They also had Fei Long, but he had really bad QC on one of this heads, so I passed on him. I think the paint from his hair had gotten on his face. And they didn't have any Chun-Li figures yet.
The Ryu has good QC for the most part, but I noticed there was a white spot on his belt, right on the center knot that was very noticeable. Turns out, it's a white belt painted black (or dark grey actually). I did paint over the white spot, so it's not noticeable anymore. But the belt is a softer plastic, so I don't now how well the paint's going to last on there.
His butterfly joints were also stuck, had to heat them to loosen them.. But they seem to be working fine now, though I still can't seem to get the fireball pose right. But overall, the Ryu is awesome. I'm so glad I never caved and bought the Storm figures. I always felt their Ryu and Ken were way too boxy looking anyway. I don't think I've been this happy with a non-import figure since like three or four years ago when I was still enjoying collecting Marvel Legends.
I think I'm just gonna cave and order Fei Long and Chun-Li at BBTS. I'm tired of hunting for these. Hopefully there won't be any major QC issues since I can't see them before I buy them on BBTS.
-edit- would love to see chun done in a blue-lavender with gold trim, that feels more classic sf2 to me
Did she have a lavender outfit originally? I don't remember that at all. I always remember having a blue outfit, even back in the Super Nintendo/Sega Genesis days.
Hadn't been in Target all week. They have six Fei Long, nobody else. The people who were beating me to Fei Long during the first wave are leaving him during these restocks.
All I've seen in the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area at Target is Fei Long at two stores, nothing at 6 or 7 others. But half the time I can't even check because they've given up on that collectibles section along the wall behind electronics in my area. At least half the stores have dozens of boxes stacked up in front of the section blocking access to it every time I go, and the stores that don't have that have stuffed the shelves with random product 4 to 5 deep that aren't at all organized or the same or similar item, so to see it all you have to remove everything from every shelf which nobody is going to do.
The way every store in my area has given up on that section tells me it's probably going away, the managers know it, so they just ignore it completely.
If I had to guess, we wont be hurting for repaints of these figures. Street Fighter is one of the few action figure lines where simple palette swaps for rereleases makes perfect sense.
Hopefully they include a new accessory or they are released as multipacks when the rereleases start to come.
The Jada hands are a little bigger than Marvel Legends hands, so I had to heat these effect pieces to get them to fit. But seem to fit ok now, I figure I can give them to Ken once he comes in to have him doing his dragon punch.
By the way, looking at the instruction manual pics I posted above.. is Ken supposed to be left handed?
The Target in my town had a Ryu. I had been finding them in only one store in my area. Maybe they are being carried in more Targets?
