Shots fired. Storm trying to take a piece of that 6 inch Street Fighter pie from Jada and Jada trying to grab it back. Lol. I was hoping each company would do different SF rosters from each other, but oh well. In a way this is good. The competition should bring out the best in both companies and the customer wins out. There’s less chance of either getting complacent or lazy to an annoying degree. Some of these bigger toy companies could stand to get that level of fire lit under them again.
New interview. Interesting tidbit is Juhn saying he’s not sure if they want to commit to Alpha like 2, as they started on these figures a while back and since then other competitors have also begun producing their own Alpha figures. So he reiterates that they’re open to jumping around and doing various characters from the other later SF games rather than transitioning to Alpha full time. I’d be all in favor of that.
Hmm. While I do wish that Jada does not overlap with Storm, I am still not sure on that jumping around part. Storm is still questionable on completing rosters too. I would want Jada to to pick either SF3 or 5 or 6 and stick to that one game until the roster is complete before going to the next SF game. It’s what made them interesting since no other toy company really completes large rosters and just jumps all over the place. Jada can still do a alpha as secondary priority.
Jada has a relationship with Capcom, id rather that they focused on filling that Marvel Vs Capcom lineup; it's the only reason I've wanted Alpha figures as it's broadly same appearances in the game.
SDCC exclusives P2 Green Bison and Blue Dhalsim have shipped for me. Plus the metal Mets. Really looking forward to these variants and the burning figures.
