@boy_wonder yeah this one here.  Did a little more digging and it looks like she'll be available alongside Violent Ken and Irrationally Angry Navy Fei Long.  The leaks hint that they will be Jada Store exclusives and list the red Chun alongside them, so consider my original question, answered.

Technically, this is the red one which has no extras. The pink one along with the purple pants Fei Long with all the extra accessories, we are still waiting on more info. I think VKen may possibly be this years SDCC exclusive?  

Your Targets should send those Fei Longs to my Targets. I give them 2 weeks tops to last. Lol.

I'm interested in repaints if they come with new heads & hands & power effects.

I feel the same way. Unless it's a colorway I really like. But the more iconic P2 colors should all be deluxe. I have everything other than the Paulsmart Ryu and I will be skipping Red Chun-Li. I don't even really remember her being in red. Of course I didn't play that much Ultra SF2 to really know

While they could definitely still offer a deluxe for some P2 colors, I also feel that normal P2 colors should offer different alternate hands or heads and still be at the normal base price. It would make the P2 colors a little more enticing to make collectors double dip. 

Finally tracked down red Target exclusive Chun Li. Only found one but something interesting about her case pack outs. Now Target could possibly be getting different case packouts of wave 2 or maybe even solid case pack outs of red Chun Li, but the one I found on the shelves was different from the usual 3 figure packouts from wave 1. This had four figures on the shelves where previous week they had 0. I’ve been taking tabs on the DPCI once a week and asking a Target employee to check the nearby stores in any change of quantity. What they had was 1x Bison, 1x Dhalsim, 1x Red Chun Li, 1x Fei Long new batch version. No Ken or wave 1 Ryu new batch version. 

Man, shipping Red Chun Li as one per case exclusive can’t be good. That just attracts scalpers. Hopefully there are different case packouts and she sometimes will ship solids or two per case. Then again, this entire line still seems hard to find in general so hopefully distribution improves. 

Got my opener Target Red Chunners. I heard online that she was shipping 2x and 1x Fei Long per case. The case that I saw the Target employee open was 1x Red Chunners, 1x Bison, and 1x Dhalsim. These case pack outs seem unpredictable. Haven’t heard of Ryu returning to Target yet. 

God almighty, if they’re shipping out MORE Fei Longs…

and here we are. Today my Target has four Fei Long and a blue Chun-Li in a mix of old and new boxes, so a few of those figures have probably been there for some time.

Send those Feis to the Bay Area west coast. They’ll be gone in a couple of weeks tops. 

Jokes aside, the new batch of wave 1 figures which I’m guessing is being made by the new factory, look arguably better than the old wave 1 figures. The paint apps in the faces seem cleaner and more refined. To me it’s harder to tell with Chunners but it is very obvious with Ryu and Fei Long when you have them in hand.  

I haven't taken a good look at the new factory re-releases. I don't want to try to justify buying any more because this is what I currently have from the first release: Fei Long x4, Chun-Li x4, and Ryu x3

Juhn did another interview.

Not a lot of new stuff this time but they will be doing some new character reveals at SDCC next month, and it’s likely they’ll have unveiled the full USFII cast by the end of 2024, and the goal is to have them all released by the end of next year. And it sounds like there’s gonna be another convention exclusive like Evil Ryu getting revealed in a few weeks.

@mrboshek If you get a chance to see them up close, they may sway your mind. To me they were different enough that I bought wave 1 all over again, but I’m weird that way. Lol. The only hard part is tracking them down locally if your Targets are inundated with old wave 1 or don’t get any at all. Online is tricky because you may have to ask the etailer to check the back of the box art to tell and that’s even if they can be bothered to do it at all.

I actually hope Jada can get the Stellar Blade license. Seems the game is doing quite well world wide. It’s a newer title so no pressure following the footsteps of a previous company doing t figures, and I feel Jada will do the characters justice and not balk at how they are supposed to look. They didn’t tone down Chunners, so I don’t think they will tone down Eve in her alt outfits.

 Would it be wrong to exchange a perfectly new and sealed first version for one in the new packaging 😉 ?  
I know my store had both versions of Fei to make an in-store comparison.  Their Chun-Li was the first release.
