When you guys get your grey Ryu's could you post some comparison pics with the standard release? I want to see if the skin tones match.
Evil Ryu available again on Jada’s site for those who missed out.
Hoping Ken shows up early. Completing the SF Trinity would be nice to happen this month or next.
Thank you!
I was getting ready to buy one on Aliexpress or ebay.
I checked Jada's site the other day out of curiosity and it was sold out. Really happy he went back up!
Looks like Evil Ryu sold out again. Hopefully everyone who frequents here was able to snag one. Maybe Jada will put out more at some later time.
Just got a shipping email from Paulmartstore for CE Ryu! Can't promise but I'll try to snap pics of him and standard Ryu.

They do not, it's much lighter and less orange
If i missed anyone mentioning this, sorry. I had an idea that turned out to look pretty good. I took the gi off of Ryu and replaced it with the GameStop Exclusive Matt Jackson as Ryu gi. The only problem is that it has the Young Bucks logo on the back. After i tied the belt on Ryu, i inserted as small piece of wire in the belt so I can pose it instead of it having a mind of it's own. I'm gonna do this with Ken once I get him.
I REALLY hope they do another P1 Ryu with this lighter skin-tone. Looks much better. Throwing in brown gloves and brown hair would definitely make it worth a rebuy.

Bison looks awesome.
What are those silver bands to the left of his legs in the packaging?
Not positive, but I think shoulder pads if you display him without a cape.

Yeah, they're alternate shoulder pad caps without the cape.
@misplacedprojectile Yeah, I'd be happy with just the brown gloves. Capcom is pretty specific with sticking to their style guides though so it was probably a design choice Capcom pushed. Also he doesn't need the kanji on the belt. That and the red gloves seems to be more a SFIV thing. What about pixelated re-releases? Like NECA's TMNT arcade figures.
I guess Paul was just printing labels out over the weekend. No movement on my stuff. He did say he expected them this week. Probably won't start showing up until after Christmas or later. I paid with Paypal so I wonder if he just marked everything as fulfilled and shipped with tracking because PP will require another authorization after 30-days if items are not shipped by then. Kind of shady but I have no doubts I won't see my product eventually. I'm friends with Ryan of Ryan's Toy Connection, another Frank and Sons seller. He said he's been offered exclusives like this from companies like Jakks in the past. You pay for a large enough production run and your store can get their own exclusive. I know some people were confused how this small shop got an exclusive.

Paulmart's exclusive reminds me of some of the exclusives Sota released. There were a handful of smaller online stores with exclusives. I think all are now defunct. Surprisingly, nothing from BBTS or EE according to this list I found on TNI.

Black Market/Bootleg Figures
Evil Ryu
The easiest way to detect a bootleg is basically looking at the package. The original figure packaging text says "Evil Ryu". The bootleg text says just “Ryu” with the Evil Ryu inside the package.
The SDCC-exclusive “grinning” Evil Ryu figure in Japanese packaging (without the exclusive sticker) is also a fake, along with the “grinning” Evil Ryu packaged into yellow “White Ryu” package.
On the bootleg figure the skin tone is much lighter. The chi fist color is darker and purple tint compared to the original figure’s blue tint. The gloves are a different shade of red.
M. Bison, White Ryu or Sagat
These figures were made using the same molds and packaging (without authorization from SOTA); however these are not exactly like the originals, with paint applications and accessory quality being noticeably lower. Most of these originate from Hong Kong or China.
These bootleg figures have a cheaply scanned paper insert, with the barcode for Ryu by default. They've applied a sticker with the appropriate character's SKU in the case of Bison and Sagat.
M. Bison has a totally different skin tone with little or no airbrushed detail, a cheap cape made of totally different fabric and a poor-quality psycho energy attachment.
Ryu's hair seems to be shinier than the original P1 release, but the white paint seems to be more consistent.
Black Gen
The Black Gen in the English green packaging is fake.
