Good week to be a Jada Toys/Street Fighter fan. First the Ryu palette swap (Paulmartstore exclusive), and now Vega, Sagat, and Blanka!!
Late, but I wouldn't overthink the inclusion of a red fireball with Ken. Ultimately it's just a "well, we included blue with Ryu, let's put the red with Ken just to have the variant out there for those who care". I absolutely would have preferred a shoryuken, but I'm sure we'll get those Eventually™
I think it's a nice easter egg to have, the red fireball was a glitch in the original game so I welcome having one in the SF2:WW design

Are these waves really? Seems like single releases mostly. I wouldn't mind them putting out more than 1 at a time.
The prototypes are looking a bit rough overall especially the face sculpts and the over exaggerated lips. Reminds me of the classified falcon. But really happy wave 4 is such a heavy hitters wave.

I wonder if they intend to make the mask somehow strap on over the hair sculpt (bad idea) or if the masked version of Vega is a separate headsculpt (good idea)?
Looks awesome, though. I wish these guys were also doing Mortal Kombat figures, because they're doing a really great job with Street Fighter.
@theknightdamien so far they've all included an alternate head & an energy effect. I'm guessing he'll have a head with the mask sculpted on & maybe the loose mask instead of a slash effect. Either way, I'm super excited to get him!

Why does it seem like Vega, Sagat, and Blanka are further along than Guile and Cammy, who still have pins?
[edit] Nevermind, saw HD footage and the new three just have way smaller pins on them.
With Ken's upcoming release I think it's safe to say that waves aren't really a thing with these. The back of his box just shows him where the first wave showed everyone in said wave.
It's more like they're just revealed as waves and will trickle out as they're ready.

I think it's safe to say that Vega will have an alternate masked head. The way Vega's hair drapes on the sides of his face make it so a mask like that couldn't even work.

I wish they were making just about anything else. My experience with Street Fighting is the old SOTA figures and one of the animated movies. I have no connection to the characters, which is a huge bummer. I want all of these figures.
They crushed this wave. If Jada was announced as the licensee of a property I love, I'd lose my mind. They're the most reliable name in toys right now.
Ok I love the Fei Long and Ryu I have, but I think its a stretch to call Jada the most “reliable”. There are a few qc issues on the figures (paint rubbing off being the most frequent Ive heard about), and we are only at one wave of released figures and an exclusive repaint.
The new figures look pretty good though, and this street fighter line is one I’m most looking forward to next year. Might wait on some characters to get the alt versions instead of the standard colored ones. Hope the future repaints aren’t all higher priced online store exclusives. Also hope they get to Final Fight, as I’m pretty bummed we never got Guy in the SOTA line.
Wish they could get the Caslevania license.

They said in prior interviews that deluxe releases would likely be larger characters like Zangief or Honda (and I'm guessing ones like Hugo or Marisa if the line goes on long enough to get to later games), so I'm assuming this is another wave.
Unless Sagat's height qualifies him for a standalone deluxe release.
Nice. Liking what I’m seeing so far. Wave 4 looks good overall. Maybe it’s the lighting but I’m thinking Sagat need more muscle definition or a wash to bring out his body sculpt since he is showing a lot of skin.
I’m all in for Jada SF as long as the keep up the overall quality, keep improving, and stay committed to completing the 17 original characters from the SF2 series first and foremost before doing other SF or Capcom games. I won’t be a completist with alternate colors but I did have to preorder that blue variant Ryu because I’m a sucker for SF’s big three. Plus I do like the P2 colors for Ryu. I also bought that bootleg AliExpress Ryu out of curiosity. The foot artic alone sucks and no thigh swivels. Save your money for the real deal.
