Anyone want to discuss the Yolopark AMK and AMK Pro lines?
Both of these lines are technically model kits, but only in the loosest sense. They are plug and play (no cutting, painting, or glue are required), and are more like Lego Bionicles than anything. They are practically action figures. These do not Transform.
Amk figures are $30 plus shipping (making them around $36). So far these have been based around the Rise of the Beasts film. Included in this line so far are : Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Optimus Primal, Scourge, Cheetor, and Rhinox (releasing next month).
Amk Pro are $50 plus shipping (making them around $60 ish). These have more paint, accessories, light up features, and some die cast parts. The AMK Pro line has releasedd a G1 Megatron with a G1 Optimus Prime on the way. Other reveals have included Mirage (Rise of the Beasts), Soundwave (Bumblebee Movie), Starscream (G1), and Last Knight Optimus Prime.

I am one of the rare people that like Transformers, but do not like Transforming figures. I jsut want to play with the Robots, I don't much care for the cars. The ThreeZero MDLX line is nice, pricey, but nice. These are more affordable, larger, and even more fun to mess with. They have loads of articulation and are really great to pose. I think I may replace my MDLX figures with Yolopark.
I have bought Most of the AMK Rise of the Beasts figures, with the AMK PRO GI Optimus and Megatron on pre-order. I expect those AMK Pro figures may make a few top ten lists this year, as reviews have been very positive.
The Threezero MDLX figures are basically upgraded G1 designs, while Yolopark is tackling more authentic G1 designs and doing Movie designs too. So there is a place for both companies depending on your preference in style.
Here is a pic of the Yolopark AMK Pro G1 Optimus and Megatron. Megatron is newly released and Optimus is scheduled to release Quarter 2 I believe. These are about 20 cm tall. They include a display stand, light up eyes, some die cast parts, and several weapons.
Here are the AMK Rise of the Beasts figures released so far. Optimus Primal, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Scourge, Cheetor, and Rhinox (Scheduled to release in February).
One thing to note is that Bumblebee and Optimus Prime did not come with weapons, but Cheetor comes with weapons for Bumblebee, and the upcoming Rhinox will have wepons for Optimus.
I got the G1 Megatron and OP pre-ordered on BBTS. I pre-ordered Megatron kind of late and now BBTS has "pre-orders sold out", so I'm hoping BBTS orders aren't shorted.
I am in the same boat. But I'm not too worried. You can order him directly from the Yolopark website. It will take a while to arrive as it ships from overseas, but it ends up costing a few dollars less. You can even order him from Amazon (Yolopark has a storefront there).
I may just do that myself come payday.
If they ever make these Masterpiece height, i would buy them 100%
Here's the AMK Optimus with a Jada Toys 1:24 ROTB Optimus.
The Truck may be a little too large to match the scale, but I think they look pretty good together on the shelf. The gun was purchased from an Ebay seller selling custom weapons for Optimus.
The Rhinox has my eye as a big mecha-golem against my 18ths. TFSafari has him for $37, that a good price?
@adrienveidt That is retail. You may be able to find him as low as $35 at some retailers. But it just released, and is coming out slowly.
I have the Yolopark Optimus Prime pre-ordered. Do we have a release date for it? BBTS just says March, but March is almost over.
@handsome Yolopark just started fulfilling orders, and folks starting getting them in hand last week in Japan, and some folks this week in the USA. BBTS seems to always be fairly far behing though, so it may be a while before they fulfill their orders.
I ordered through Yolopark directly, and they stated that they sold out of thier first batch and expect a second batch in 2-3 weeks. They have an Amazon store you can order through too:
Holy shit, I got Arcee in yday from BBTS and this line is amazaballs awesome. I immediately had to get Mirage and Primal; but monkey Primal was already sold out.
Arcee is one of the best model kits I've ever assembled, with small touches of high quality everywhere I'm looking at this figure. The plastic quality in terms of durability and firmness, the glossy red auto-paint plastic, the fairly restrained glow of the LED not overpowering the figure. She does need more hand options than just the open palms and guns, and I do hope for a ball joint somewhere in the torso to upgrade the swivel-only waist but her limb articulation and range of motion are terrific. I got her with the idea to maybe make a lady Micronaut SpaceGlider type but I may be into this line for its own merits as great action figure model kits.
Got Arcee from the new Bloks/Buluke/Yolopark line of model kit 'action master' TFs and she's one of the coolest kit figures I've ever had. I do wish for a ball joint in the torso to improve the swivel-only waist and that she had more hand-pose options; but the sturdiness, color saturation and purity in the plastic, and the very well-done lighting effect far outweigh those minor issues. Don't sleep on this line, y'all.
@captaincracker I have something for you, but I need your address. Hit me up at [email protected]
