I'm not gonna say 100% that they don't. But, all the pics I've seen, show the launchers attached to the wings in both bot and Dino mode. And the only weapons they display him with are the 2 swords. So, maybe the tips come off to replicate them being shot, or whatever, but I don't think the launchers themselves actually come off and become guns like they should.
I'm wondering if I should buy a 3rd party sword like I did for the other 3 that don't have one. I was thinking about getting a new sword for Snarl, cause I don't like the one Hasbro did, and it doesn't match the ones I bought from China. And then it would be a little cheaper to buy both at the same time, cause I'm gonna guess around the time Swoop actually comes out they'll make a weapon set for him. Or if maybe I should just paint the one that comes with Swoop to look like the ones I got. Snarls is just so flimsy. It annoys me. And it's an odd design. If Swoops is just as flimsy it's gonna bug me as well.
Now the question is do I buy the blue or wait for the eventual red 🧐

Honestly though, I prefer the blue one. But it would come down to preference. If you like the red better, wait for the red. But they may not make it, at least for a while.
I like the contrast the blue offers to the group.
Not saying they couldn't do it, but it would be weird to get red Swoop in Studio Series.
I actually would buy (and have bought) one of each color. I just haven't liked any of the names I've come up with for Swoop's "brother." I just picture that OG cartoon voice of Swoop arguing with a near identical--but higher pitched version over which one is the elder and it cracks me up.
You could use the name the movie gave him and call him Strafe. Since he's red, Terrorsaur could be on the table as well. My display has both versions of the newer Terrorsaur in there, and I figure on just calling the og colored version Swoop in my head fantasy land. Why can't the reverse be done?

I don't think so. On the show they didn't really show them back then. Just small flashes and such, nothing detailed, and always as a robot. Technically the Beast Machines figures could be their Cybertronian forms, cause when they went back that's what they were. But it's not originally what they looked like most likely. If you're looking for a super stylized version of the characters, the closest you'll probably get is the RotB movie versions.
Looks like I was wrong. In package it looks like Swoops launchers aren't permanantly attached to his wings. So here's hoping they can double up as guns like they should.
Glad I locked my PO in for Swoop, sold out in most places. Now I can finally be done with this dinobot line
Can't believe how fast Swoop sold out. I got my order in at Amazon, but tried at Pulse first and it was gone before 1:15.
