Just found Dreadwing (Prime show version), and he’s a really cool looking figure. Nice dark blue and gold colors. Imposing and well articulated figure like his brother, Skyquake. It’s still kind of hard to get his torso to click together correctly though.
Hate they are Amazon exclusives. That almost never has worked out well for me with TF.
I really thought Ransack would just be a one-off. I can't believe they're going through with the rest of the deluxe Insecticons. I'd love to see them tackle more of these kinds of guys, like Whirl and Roadbuster, the Omnibots.
@normdapito The CHUG line does have Whirl and Roadbuster - I forget which label they were released under, but both did get figures. They're fine for my purposes, but mileage may vary.

I have both CHUG Whirl and Roadbuster (Thrilling 30?), but would love to see how they'd be handled in Legacy. This is a new standard, and while those toys were pretty awesome, I wonder how much new ones would differ.

Maybe, but with characters so obscure, they don’t need to be the same vehicles after all these years. Just make the transformation similar or very close. They don’t have to be Masterpieces.

So speaking of zero interest, I spotted Medix yesterday at Walgreens. He's part of the Rescue Bots universe, which my son enjoyed so much as a toddler. So I impulsively picked it up, knowing that I had left a Chase behind at GameStop yesterday. So I picked Chase up today. And boy are these not great.
First, Medix is a great example of mold degradation. I think this is at least the fifth reuse of this mold that comes to mind. Right off the bat, the shin plates refuse to plug in. The shoulder cannons in the windshield are loosey goosey. In fact, MOST of the joints are loosey goosey. Getting him into alt mode was a task jsut trying to get it all to peg together. I don't care for the weapons he came with. I tend to like when twin guns are actually the same, the asymmetry of differing guns sets me off. And the blue gun is ok but they didn't include the double barrel gun that plugs underneath it, like Skids had. There isn't a great place to port them in a practical way on the truck mode.
Chase is an all new mold, so it took me a few minutes to figure it out, as I tend to skip instructions these days. It's not a bad mold, just a little hollow, and I don't care for the "shoulder blades." Also, his left shoulder is pretty loose too. And one panel on his hood kept popping off, so I'll need to glue that secure. I wasn't impressed with this. What annoys me is how weak I clearly am when new stuff is in front of me. I don't have a place for these, but I'm sure that now that I have them, I'll cave on other Rescue Bots. So foolish.
My clearance sense was tingling so I stopped by Walmart, having seen reports of Classified Shipwreck dropping finally. I wanted an extra of him to keep carded because he’s always been my favorite Joe. But the real point of this post is to say I picked up G2 yellow Grimlock for 36, a much more reasonable price than the original 55. Glad I waited.
