I know my MEF is really difficult to turn using your fingers, so I'm glad they did this.
It’s a neat gimmick, but why? I have the figure, and they didn’t need to make the knob so tight. It can still be turned without the gun, but it’s tight. But why bother with that at all? Using the gun to turn his faces would seem like an odd thing to do even in an imaginary play setting. Like as a kid, you’d have to imagine that the gun is the key or catalyst to changing his face? It’s just unnecessary.
I do love that three other faces are included and can replace any of these faces, and they can be carried in a case on his back or like a briefcase. That to me is a more sensible gimmick.

So….has there been any mention when Gears, Windcharger, and Buzzaw are being made to finish off G1, series 1? Or should this post be in the Studio Series thread? Feels like they are stalling too long on this. I’ve not bought any new transformer since Brawn and Ratchet came out in SS. Frenzy is on preorder.

An image of a new Gears in Legacy Evolution packaging was floating around a week or two ago, and I would assume will probably be formally announced next week with the next fanstream.
Oh nice. I haven’t been keeping up with TF news in the past 12 months so news for Gears is quite welcome. I guess if they get around to rereleasing that Netflix Earthrise Soundwave later, they can just repaint Laserbeak into Buzzaw.
You know, they're definitely gonna suck me in for the 5pk, not just for G1 Hound, but the toon color repaints of the rest of the figures. So far leaked are Trailbreaker and Wheeljack. I believe Sunstreaker and Jazz are the other two, but of them, I want a new Sunstreaker more, with yellows that actually match. Not sure how much a Jazz would differ from the Studio Series version, unless the paint over the translucent windows instead.
Also seeing pics of Origin Wheeljack. That guy is carrying his weight in kibble on his back! I guess that's how they get Origin Bee to fit inside him...

That is great. I ended up ebaying him because I thought they wouldn't. Exclusives have gotten out of control.
Just received Animated Universe Optimus from Walmart, and had been sitting on AU Bumblebee til getting Optimus, so I opened both, and they're both pretty rad. Kinda unnecessary, since the whole idea for Legacy was to bring in characters from other universes depicted in a unified style ala G1, or at least that was always my understanding. Look at their release of Bulkhead. Essentially a G1 version, if not, certainly a G1 aesthetic. These two are basically just the TF:A designs, but less on model. I understood them doing Prowl, since that motorcycle version of him doesn't exist in G1, but truck Optimus and small car Bee do exist. Either way, they're both pretty fun figures with solid conversions.
I love the Prowl they did from TF A. It's one of my fave Tranformers in recent memory. I just wish he'd gotten a sword, but I don't remember if he had one in that mode or if he got it when he upgraded to the samurai look.
