Looks good but not sure how this will do considering the last Thundertank may be all most collectors need and the fact that BBTS is still trying to sell through their stock (on sale no less).

It is CRAZY to me that Amazon is the one asking for a new run of this thing. For me it means I would definitely not order now and just wait for Amazon to get antsy sitting on pallets full of this $500 vehicle that won't sell and slashing the price.
And I was one of the people saying that Panthro was never going to get a Deluxe release because Super7 would have to start from scratch with molds and what not since they don't have access to the original any more. It made sense for them to re-do Lion-O from scratch but I didn't see how they'd make Panthro worth it, especially since you can still buy Panthro for $45 right now.
But this is how. Bake the costs remolding Panthro into the costs of a new run of Thundertank repaints. Now they can get away with releasing Deluxe Panthro eventually. Jackal Man and Pumyra - and Mummy Mumm-Ra would be the only Mattel molded figures not fully redone by S7 at that point. I can't imagine Pumyra being worth it to redo, but who knows I guess. Jackal Man seems slightly more possible. shrimpy Mumm-Ra actually seems like the most likely candidate, though.

See I think Pumyra is definitely worth redoing. She’s the worst in the line, and if redone using parts from Willa and Nayda, she would be in scale. Plus you could use most of the regular figure to do her in her escape from thundera look, with Bengali and Lynx-o also in those outfits.
I'm not saying I wouldn't be interested. I'm saying I don't think the market is there to sell Pumyra a third time just to get her on a new body. Maybe I'm wrong. I'd be down for the alternate looks for all three of those season 2 'Cats. I guess it would depend on how much existing tooling they could leverage without new molds... I'm just skeptical that she would be popular enough to invest in new tooling for a figure that has been offered twice before - even if that figure was out of scale.

The Super7 Thundertank (toy version) is on amazon.CA now. It's $728.82 CDN, which isn't awful since it includes Panthro. I must admit that I am a little tempted, but I already have the original and it's a lot to drop on something I basically already have.

Man... I would love a couple of extra Bengali figures, but not at $65 each. I'll wait to see if he gets a deluxe release or if the Ultimates figure hits discount in the future.

Red Eye has light up eyes, so I guess they will charge more. Lion-O is in sort of a shadow so I wonder if he will also have light up eyes. The earlier leaks showed Wizz-Ra as well with these, maybe they will also make him have light up eyes so they can charge more for the whole wave? Hopefully not; I don't want to pay extra for a feature I am unlikely to use.
Anyway, excited to be adding another Lunatak to the collection.

I wonder what happened to the leaked WizzRa? I wonder if sales are so slow, they are making waves of only 2 figures or if there was a hold up with the licensing or something else.

Lion-O with new head and cape is not something I can spend $65 on. I just can't. Red Eye is a must have and instant pre-order.
It is a bummer that Wizz-Ra isn't included. He is a figure I want, and depending on execution one I'd be interested in an extra of. Too bad.
A little sad this is down to a 2-figure wave. I know there are not a lot of big names left but there are a number of characters I would happily buy - non only Wizz-Ra but also Zaxx, Turmagar, Pyron or Demolisher as cartoon folk that look great or still a handful of vintage remakes including Ram Bam, Top Spinner, Tuska Warrior and Driller. All would make excellent figures that would fit in my collection and I would happily have bought if they were included in this most recent wave.
Will be intrigued to see if this was just a scheduling shuffle or if Wizz-Ra gets left on the cutting room floor, so to speak.
I ended up pre-ordering both figures although I don't really need a Lion-O with an alternate head. I would have picked up WizzRa as well. The prices are high for what they are, but I'm not collecting much else these days, so I guess it's OK.
If the line is winding down, I hope they manage to squeeze in Tug Mug. After getting this far with the Lunataks to not have TugMug in the same scale/style would suck.
After TugMug, the remaining two Berserkers and Jagara would be next priority on my list. I wouldn't say no to Pyron, Demolisher, or a lot of other side characters.
If we got one more vehicle, I'd probably want the nose diver to go with the sky cutter, although it may be a hard vehicle to get the character to look right in as they would need more neck articulation than they have to face forward. I guess it wouldn't matter too much if the characters don't face properly forward.
Anyway, we'll see what happens, but if the line is winding down hopefully we can squeeze out a few more good characters before it's over.
