Wave 14 images have leaked:

https://toyhabits.com/super7-thundercats-ultimates-wave-14-leaked-images/

Thanks for posting.  They all look pretty good, but I don't know if I really need a Lion-O with the crown and cape.

As you said, Red Eye should come with a disk to throw if he doesn't.  His extra left hand looks like it could hold a disk.  His chest armour looks like it's not tight on the bottom, so maybe the disk can be somehow pulled out, but probably not.

Wizz-Ra looks great, although not a character I feel is must have since I think he was only in one episode.  I'll pick him up anyway, though.

I'll probably just get the whole wave since it's only 3 figures and they look decent enough.

So, for me the Lion O is an easy pass.   At $60 or whatever Super7 will be charging for the figures when they hit the Crown and Cape aren't enough to get me to buy Lion-O,  again.

Red Eye is obviously a must have -  the Lunataks are almost complete.  One more to go.

And Wizz-Ra is actually great.    That's one I wouldn't mind getting an extra of down the line honestly.    At full Ultimates pricing picking up extras is a bit much...but it's a nice looking figure with a lot of potential for other uses.

djccollectibles.ca has a Spring sale right now with 20% off some items until May 3rd at Midnight.

Among other items, they have the 5" Thundercats in the sale and some Ultimates including Ghost Grune.

Maybe those of you in the US are already getting things for cheaper with the sale price, but I thought I would mention it just in case someone is interested.

I really hope super7 take another shot at Pumyra. She’s the worst figure in the line, she’s way too tall, her skin tone is too dark for the character and her face sculpt is too much of a throw back to the MOTUC style like the original Lion-O. I would love them to re sculpt her, and they could get two uses out of the new tooling, with just a couple of changes, if they did a three pack or three figure wave of her, Bengali and Lynx-O as they appeared in the Thundercats movie/escape from Thundera. Lynx-O in his tunic, Bengali in his onesie and the new Pumyra looking more animation accurate. They could then tweak her from that look to her later look with her T-Cats emblem and red boots for a deluxe release. Easy money, with very little effort for them.

I agree it would be nice to get Pumyra redone at an appropriate height.   She was another of those that came from the original Mattel molds -  Mattel made her the Tallest figure in their line for some reason.    Super7 teased that they would revisit her with an appropriate height but didn't.      Since they couldn't re-release Pumyra anyway - they would have to redo her to release her.

I like the idea of the alternate looks from the Thundercats movie for the three add-on Thundercats.   I would buy second versions of Lynx-O, Bengali and Pumyra in modified outfits and it would be a way to give us a proper, better Pumyra that could also justify getting her into the Deluxe line at some point.

Just had the following email from Super7

To Our Valued Super7 Supporters,

Last week was really hard.

As you may have heard, we had to make the difficult decision to let team members go. These are people who were doing the best work in the industry, none of whom deserved to be let go. I want to be clear that this reduction in staff is a direct result of the tariffs applied to our industry. The preceding six months before the tariff announcement had been Super7’s best since the inception of the company nearly 24 years ago. Then the landscape changed overnight.

Make no mistake, the tariff is a tax on American companies and the American consumer. The people who lost their jobs last week were Americans across 16 different states. The 145% tariff effectively shut our business down, bringing new inventory leaving the factory to zero, compounded by massive tariffs on pre-order product already on the water headed to consumers. This week’s change in tariff to 30%, is still a massive increase to this industry that requires significant change to work within.

So what does that mean for Super7? Well, it means we need to be smaller and focus on the core of our business while being very specific about what we make. This allows Super7 to be safe for the future and continue to deliver the awesome product we are known for.

We still believe in the joy that making toys brings to all of us. We believe that the future will be better, and we look forward to continuing to deliver on that joy for the future. We hope to see you there with us.

So,  obviously this is terrible for all of the people at Super7 that lost their jobs.   I anticipate that some of those people may be brought in as contract workers with less overhead for the company but to still do some of the job they need done.

My guess is the Ultimates offerings will likely contract significantly (they already have) to just what sells well - with a greater transition to the Deluxe line which leverages molds that have already been made.

I expect ReAction will continue in some form, but again with some contraction and a concentration on the properties that sell the best for them in that format.

Selfishly for me I wish the Ultimates business model was to mine specific properties but in a limited capacity - short term licensing agreements with a goal of one or two waves of nostalgia farming and then on to the next...

Do Tiger Sharks - but just the main team and one or two core villains; then Blackstar but just hit two four figure waves and be out; then Thundarr - and honestly they could probably get away with one wave there... Thundarr, Ookla, Ariel and then any one of the villains or guests would be fine - lots of fun designs but nothing central or essential beyond the main three;  Herculoids...    none of that stuff needs to go 15 waves deep like Thundercats

Of course, I thought that about Silverhawks and we are six waves in and there are still several 'Hawks that I wish were made that aren't -  Flashback, Moonstryker and Yes Man really should be in my collection ...

Yeah, it's a shame for people who don't deserve to lose their jobs.

I'm still hoping we'll get some more Thundercats...  I really need that Red Eye and they HAVE to do Tug Mug now.  We were so close.  Sometimes I wish they were the type of company that does main characters first instead of taking slots with side characters, although I get the model.

Hardware would like to have a word with you...

Lol, plus it would be such a kick in the nuts to only get vacmetal of four out of the five main Hawks... 😕
