Super7 has been so quiet lately on the Ultimates front for Tcats, Hawks and Turtles. Are they slowing down?

By my calculus there are still quite a few vintage toys, Lunataks and fan-favorite cartoon characters to get to. There are easily enough for another 5 waves, more if they continue to include LJN-color repros.

They are showing a new wave soon and have several more planned best I can recall from Flynn's recent interview on the We Want More Thundercats YouTube channel.

Was anything specific mentioned in that interview?

Normally I value WWMTcats' interviews, but this one seems emptier then usual and I'm having trouble getting through it.

I know what you mean.  I had it on as basically background noise while do other work.   The only thing I remember is that Safari Joe is still not coming in at least the next wave or two.

Frankly I think there have been some big behind the scenes changes at Super7 and that is why it seems like things are slowing down, or quieter, right now.   The summer Con season is about to get into full swing so I would imagine we'll see a lot more from them soon enough.   However I think we will see a slow down in product from Super7 going forward.  They have already cut a bunch of licenses, and I won't be surprised to see ReAction slow down as well.

So, I just got notice that Wave 10 of Thundercats is hitting my Pile of Loot -   that's Chilla and Wily Kat for me since I skipped the LJN recolors of Grune and Jaga.

That just leaves Wave 11 outstanding,  so it would seem like certainly the time to announce another future wave, one would think.

But maybe they are waiting for SDCC to unveil the ongoing plan.

Really, really hoping we get a glimpse of Tiger Sharks at the con and if my wishes were being granted an announcement for Blackstar too.

Got my POL notice for Kat!

I had Chilla pre-ordered, but canceled when I did the same with Alluro. Not a huge fan of The Lunataks and running out of space.

However, I can see myself picking up Chilla down the line to add another female & villain to the ranks.

WilyKat pretty much completes my collection. I'd like to see a Luna & Amok or a Season 1 Hammerhand, but I'd have to swap them out with someone else 'cause that's all the space I have for them.

But yes, I'm ready to see some TigerSharks. I loved that show way more than it's short run time would suggest.

Yeah... I'm very curious to see what the next wave looks like.   I was really disappointed that the last wave was all undersized characters at full price.    The remaining Lunataks, except Luna, are all bigger and I'm not sure what else they have planned..  maybe some of the other pirates? Ram Bam, Cruncher.   Tuska Warrior is still needed.

On X/twitter, Super 7 has a photo looking at a plan for cat's lair over the shoulder of a Berbil.  So Ro-bear Bill is likely in the next wave.

On the We Want More Thundercats Interview, Brian said Red Eye is not in the next wave and the wave would be announced this week, so we will probably see the full wave shortly.

Back to wave 8 - I recently received them and liked them.  My favourite of the wave is Alluro, although Hachiman and Wilykit are great.  I just wish Alluro was taller, to me he should be a half inch to an inch taller.  Now they've started with him at this height it limits the rest of the Lunataks height as they will likely be in scale to him and I believe he is tallest.

So -  were the Reptillian Guards not wave 8 after all?    Originally I thought that's how they were treated and marketed -  Wave 8,  but now I've seen in several places the Hachiman wave being called Wave 8, which would make the Chilla/Wily Kat Wave - Wave 9, not 10 and the Young Lion-O/Quick Pick wave Wave 10, not 11.

It's very confusing -  but a set of 3 figures would seem to be enough to constitute a "wave" for Super 7 -  especially when  he called  Copper Kid and the Space Racer Wave 5 of Silver Hawks - and there were multiple 3 figure waves of other Ultimates properties.

Wow...  color me impressed.    Luna and Amok is a fun package -  $85 isn't unexpected for that oversized pairing.    Claudus looks fine.      The royal guard is an interesting, and I'll admit - unexpected - choice.

I'll buy this Berbil, but I don't know how many others I'll be in for going forward.   I bought several of Joe Amato's Berbils - which I love.   and I don't feel the need to invest in a bunch more.

I'll probably end up ordering two of the Royal Guard figures, though I may give the mane on the second one a repaint to differentiate.

Is it just me or does the "super pack" bonus for ordering direct from Super7 seem even less tantalizing than usual?

Berbil Bill is the only definite. I'm reluctant to pay full price, but I am not good at playing the waiting game. This is gonna weaken my resolve on waiting for Willa to price drop too. Claudus is cool, but not necessary for me. And I've passed on all the other Lunataks so far, so no reason to jump on now. Wasn't sure this line was continuing, so this announcement was unexpected.

Berbil time!

Just in for Bill from this wave.

Not to be negative, but I don't see the guard making the number needed for production. And I think Claudus will just squeeze by...

They need to find a way to get a pinless Lion-O & Panthro out before the line ends.

Yeah -  hard to say.    Generic troop builders are a tough sell at this price point -  but the Lizard warrior, brute and guard made it,  so maybe?    There'll be a couple of people like me that double up -  gotta have two guards flanking the throne, right?     So far they've never had anything Thundercats, Turtles or even Silverhawks ordered so low that it didn't go forward, right.     Times have changed though, so I guess we'll see.

I'm in for all 4.  Ro-Bear-Bill falls in the "sadly expected" price point, but in fairness he seems beefy.  Maybe even beefier than the show?

I'm surprised to find myself excited for a "Dead Thundercats" sub-section of my display.
