I only have a few Mondo figures.  I think the paint jobs on them are awesome; the colours just really look great.  The sculpts are good and the size gives them a presence.  As far as articulation, they are average - generally single elbows, but double knees.

I've seen some paint flakes off the figures near the joints and I've heard some people complain about the quality control in the past on specific figures.

Maybe look at some youtube reviews and see what you think.

They are definitely pricey and it's hard to say whether it's really worth it or not.  I think it depends on your financial situation.  When you are getting into hundreds of dollars that definitely will go a lot farther on most other lines OR even on things other than toys/collectibles.

As for myself, I already pre-ordered Mumm-Ra and I have Lion-O.  I don't know if I'm in for the Cheetara that is expected next or any others at this point.  As much as I like the figures, there are probably wiser ways to spend the money.  I say that now, but when I see the next figure I may just go for it.  We'll see.

That doesn't sound bad, honestly. I also collect Hot Toys, in addition to my 1/12 stuff, so I'm pretty used to average-poor articulation and high costs lol I might just have to go in on this Mumm-Ra, and grab Lion-O to go with him. I appreciate the opinion! Thank you.

Mondo Cheetara:

I'm not sure if it's something I'll pick up...  Currently, I both kind of like the look and kind of don't at the same time.

I received Mumm-Ra today in the mail.  It took a few days longer than Lion-O, but still less than a week and no duty charge at the door.  DHL said they required a signature, but they just dropped it off.

I really like the figure.  If I had some nitpicks it would be that the headdress doesn't sit as well as it could when you have the chest plate on.  Also, Mamutt could use some articulation - all he can move is his head.  I wanted to pose him rearing up against Snarf, but couldn't do it.

Overall, though, I like the look and the paint job is good as always from Mondo.  One cool thing is his joints are tight enough that he can easily hold the sword of Plundar with the effects in one arm.  Lion-O has some problems holding the sword of omens with the lightning effects up sometimes.

As much as I like the figure I'm not sure if I'll be in on Cheetara.  I kind of like having the two main characters (in my mind).  If they do Cheetara and then maybe Panthro and Tygra, all of a sudden the display is getting off balance towards the good characters.  I don't know; I guess I'll decide once Cheetara is on pre-order.

Here are a few quick pics on onedrive:
