I’m glad you like him, KD, and sorry they messed up sewer samurai Leo. I’m only going for one variant per turtle, so I’m waiting for either sports, beach, or military variants. Hopefully when they get to delta force Don it will be the same high quality as rocker Leo.

I am legitimately glad they got one of these figures right (enough...ish) for you KD.    I honestly and truly hope this isn't an aberration as a high water mark, but maybe a harbinger of good things to come.

Best not to get hopes up too high,  but I can't help it if I'm an optimist (even if the company's track record makes that position foolish, bordering on insane).

Because @misfit brought it up - the one I'm worried about now is Punker Don, strictly because that figure has been in manufacturing hell for however long now and it's hard to see a path where that figure comes out as good as this one. But who knows. Maybe the wave being put -way- off is a sign they identified all the problems and want to make sure they are -all- fixed.

I'm genuinely excited about the possibility, however remote I find it, that this is Super7 completely changing their practices and committing to putting out quality product. I want to be as vocal about pointing out the successes as I've always been with their many and monumental failures. I'm not, despite appearances to the contrary at times, a negativity-hog. If there's only good things to say about Super7, that's what I'll be saying. And happily.

Now like.. can Super7 please re-issue Samurai Leo but with Rocker Leo levels of quality - and corrected wrist hinges? And weapons not made of gently dampened spaghetti? And maybe do King Lionheart - again, at the Rocker Leo level of quality.

Seriously.. this figure is, to me, the new benchmark. They need to hit this every time.

Speaking of Punker Don, that wave has apparently finally left the factory and should be in our hands around late September.

FINALLY.

@normdapito Yessir!

Punker Don, Warrior Metalhead Michelangelo, Guerrilla Gorilla, Triceraton, Robotic Bebop

One of the last solid waves they had.  I only ordered Triceraton but I'm hoping to be able to grab Donnie and GG on sale at some point.

Any update on when Rat King is coming out?  I remember him getting announced, but it seems it’s been at least a year ago since that.

OK,  I finally got my Karai figure in - and it's pretty much as expected, I don't dislike it at all.    It does what I want it do being a female martial artist in the Ultimates style.   The only thing I don't like -  and this is probably on me, not on the figure - is that the fully masked head with the black cowl, which looks great -  looks silly on the figure with the neck and upper chest exposed.    the exposed flesh looks totally fine with the other two heads - it just looks weird with the fully masked head - which I guess means the masked head goes in the fodder box to be put to a different use.

On my shelf I wasn't sure what I'd do with her.  I thought maybe I'd pop a horde symbol on her chest and have her join Hordak's crew... but now I'm thinking I might have to pair her up with Hachiman down on the Thundercats shelf so maybe he doesn't have to be such a lone wolf.

Last weekend, I was able to score Genghis Frog on clearance for 40 bucks. He's a pretty nice figure, just not one I was willing to spend $55 on. He's very much one of those "This is the Playmates figure, but bigger and with more articulation and paint" which is fine and I think what most want from this line. It's just a figure with few surprises. Unless you count the no vertical hinges wrists as a surprise, but that's not a good surprise. Joints are tight though, paint is applied well, and he's overall one of the better entries in this line. The store I was at also had flocked Splinter and the Shredder repaint on clearance, but neither was of much interest to me. I might have been tempted if Slam Dunkin' Don was 40 bucks as I hate my imbalance of turtle variants that I'm likely to have as a result of Super7 skipping Undercover Donatello, but I'll learn to live with it. Plus, Raph is in the same boat until they put out Heavy Metal Raph in 2026.

I just got Genghis Frog as well, and Space Cadet Raph.  I didn't get them for $40 like you got Genghis Misfit.  But I did get 10% off both of them.   I really like both of these figures a lot.   I also just placed an order for Wignut, Scumbug, and Zak the Neutrino.  That way I at least am now caught up on all the unique characters.

Veebs has a new interview with Flynn. I think it's the first one he's done since SDCC. It's kind of interesting for this line as Flynn is pretty coy about what's coming after the next wave of 2003 turtles. He makes it a point to say nothing ever ends, but also that he "hopes" to do more vintage-inspired figures and dances around the idea that it's in Viacom's hands, basically. It's mostly upfront as the Turtle Talk is over by minute 14. I guess my thought would be, no need to panic at this moment, but stuff like Heavy Metal Raph may not be the foregone conclusion we imagined it would be.

@misfit

Nice!  I definitely want Triceraton and Punk Don. But I may very well end up with all of them except Metalhead Mikey.  That one just doesn't feel necessary to me.

I have Don pre-ordered on BBTS because I was so happy with Leo. But, to be honest, I'm still really hoping reviews start hitting before my pre-order charges so I have time to cancel if it turns out to be back to normal for S7.

Also, the idea that we might not even get Raph is absolutely infuriating. Doubly so because fuckwit Flynn doesn't seem to show even a modicum of being contrite or embarrassed about it. Just a typical shoulder-shrug 'what else could I possibly do but completely ignore the concerns of my customers?' kind of attitude. S'okay, though. We got Basketball Don and fucking Ninja April. So.. all is right with the world.

Looking forward to seeing how that Triceraton came out. That's the last figure I have preordered from this line. Probably the last one I'll buy unless they finally announce General Traag.
