@misfit It's a bummer for sure. But it's totally my fault for not actually paying close enough attention. I just saw her for a good price and remembered vaguely that people said she was way better than the original release. Live and learn. Or not. I won't learn from this at all, if I'm being perfectly honest.
So if we're getting a new updated Shredder, is it worth selling the old one now or waiting for a full proper confirmation of a new Shredder?
Daft question I know but I'm trying to sort my collection and money situation.
At this point, I'd wait at least through SDCC for confirmation. Unless you really don't mind ending up without a Shredder in the end!
@cmoney that's a very good point. I'd rather have a Shredder than no Shredder at all. Plus Sdcc is 4 weeks away or so.
I think this year's SDCC reveals for this line will be very telling as to the future health of this line, as last year was a little bit underwhelming with mostly variants/re-releases of the turtle brothers on display, particularly when compared to prior years.
Hopefully there are a good number of reveals of new characters as there are so many more figures that NECA can do. A little bit of love for Seasons 8 - 10, AKA the 'Red Sky' seasons, wouldn't hurt.
@toonturts What are you talking about? Last year showed off a ton of new crap, and people keep asking for new Turtles...which is good for the health of the line so people can get into it and have the brothers. Like, that's what you want.

It was mostly turtles, I think the non-turtles were Casey Jones in a business suit, evil Rex, the split foot soldier, Big Krang and Samurai Usagi. In previous SDCC's there were far more non-turtles figures.
Some people have been saying that this line is almost dead, and if we don't get lots of new reveals, that will be added fuel to the fire. Personally I think this line is still in great shape.
It looks like there is an animated style Wyrm that was a Playmates figure that never appeared in the main show. That is interesting!
I wonder if that is the same chef's hat that Mikey comes with.
There might be an Ultimate Slash in the display there too.

There's a Panda Khan coming out in the Fred Wolf line! It looks like NECA is going to give us toon 'What If' versions of all of the Playmates figures!
