Surprisingly found everything except Pizza Club Mikey last night on an end cap. Having to kill an hour while my kid was at piano paid off. Picked up the other 3 Pizza Club turtles, Punk set, and Business Suit Casey 2-pack. Passed on Usagi and the updated Rocksteady/Bebop. Was pricey enough already.
Will try to get Mikey during the online release.
Spent all day & drove WAY too far, and only found Mirage stuff (wanted), Usagi, and a couple Punk packs (which, if I'd found them last week when I first started looking, I would've snatched them up happily, but now I'm salty & have too many issues with the execution & what's included, so I passed).
I absolutely love that they've done all these unique expressions, which just helps me differentiate them as unique separate characters. Between all of these & "Miyamoto Usagi proper," I have not repeated a single facial expression! (And obviously, "Mirage Usagi" doesn't count, because it's not even the same face like these are, haha.)
And of course, now that I'm amassing a nice little bunny army, I severely regret passing on Black & White, as I could've added splashes of color (his ear-band, gi details/belt) and had one more Lepus. Boourns for hindsight.
Of course, I didn't have this idea until they revealed all of these versions, so last year I was just like "why do I need a desaturated version of a character/figure I already have?" *sad trombone*
At least, I'm HOPING all that other stuff that showed up in Target's system is for the next event.... because I'd have to tap out otherwise. lol
I'm thinking of a better storage solution for cartoon accessories. Been storing them in those 64 slot storage container things, but there's so many toon accessories, they fill a lot of the slots. Considering moving them to the Mutant Mayhem popcorn bucket instead, wonder if it will hold all. Of course, probably separating certain more fragile things.
Feeling lucky. Stopped by one Target and they were stocked for Haulathon. I only wanted the Foot Enforcer. They didn’t have the Foot with the straw hat.
I also picked up the rerelease of Bebop and Rocksteady. It is a much better articulated figure. I wouldn’t have known if it weren’t for this thread, so thank you!
Glad to have it.
I was so happy to find most of what I wanted finally. I feel like I hardly ever luck out on this stuff. The dude at Target was really nice and let me look through everything and I was able to pick out the best looking figures out of what they had. Super cool dude.
I’d also like to thank you guys for pointing out the corrected Bebop and Rocksteady. I plan on holding on to the new set in case the old one breaks. I already replaced one broke figure out of that set.
I’m worried about the credit card bill though. I didn’t even get everything turtle-wise and I’m thinking the total was like $700 or so. I did pick up the Broadway Gargoyles figure as well. I was on the way to work and pumped full of adrenaline after lucking out and wasn’t paying attention to how much everything was. The shock to the wallet hit after. I kind of hope this is it for now. Also I didn’t even know the foot enforcer was a thing.
Does anyone else think they’ll do an accessory set that will have more facial expressions and hands to match the new turtle colors? While I do like the new colors I’m bummed about the lack of faces, heads and hands. It just makes the blatant milking us more obvious than ever.
I've been resisting buying the Mirage stuff off ali because I foolishly pre-bought some discounted Target gift cards to pay for Haulathon, but the minute the Pizza Club Turtles or Bebop/Rocksteady appear in my preferred ali store (hoping they do!), I'm forsaking those gift cards for the more sure thing.

I had added the Pizza club turtles to my cart the other night then changed my mind and I’m glad I did as I found them the next day. I think you’ll be fine if you are patient and just get them online when the event starts. The figures look good but we’ve had better offerings in the past. I’m disappointed with the lack of facial expressions and hands.
I haven't had a car for three weeks, so haven't been able to check any stores since before then. But I finally made it to two stores today, and found several new things. Was shocked to see the OG Rocksteady and Bebop pack back again. that is great, and one of the all-timers. I just picked up the samurai Usagi for now, gotta decide which other stuff to prioritize. I'll buy maybe one more deluxe set this month. The most impressive thing I saw was the art direction and cel shading on the last ronin patrol troopers. They look fantastic, and they win this week's event for me personally. The foot soldier split down the middle was pretty dope too.
Also, do we think the Bebop/Rocksteady re-release is going to be a part of Haulathon (ie: available online) or just one of those in-store restock kind of things?
Didn't find anything at my Target this morning, but I don't think I'm going to continue checking if the self checkout lanes are always going to be closed. I'm not spending $200 on toys if I have to interact with a fellow adult to do so! 🙂 Gonna have to be online or ali for me.
Self checkout lanes may soon be a thing of the past. They are limiting them more and more, due to theft.
@kingbowser I sure hope so, hate those things. For a while, it looked like they would completely take over every register.
Self checkout or bust. I hate when the cashiers examine my figures and ask questions. This Mexican grandma working at Walgreens one time straight up asked me if I played with them in the floor like 40 year old virgin.
Let me check out myself and be gone. I don't want to have to talk to anyone.
I appreciate the speed with which I can check out at self-check. While I appreciate human workers, lines are often much longer at cashiers. I was trying to check out a couple days ago at a Target where eight self-checkout machines were roped off closed. It was frustrating to have to wait in line at a cashier with the rest of the customers when I know I could have gotten it done myself in seconds.
I've been going back and forth on the new Pizza Club Turtles and two things are really bugging me. The first is that they went ahead and made that cool new actiony accessory for Donatello, but took away the one they already made for Mikey. Like.. why? I know these aren't being sold as 'ultimate' versions of the characters, but that doesn't mean you need to intentionally make them less desirable than they could be, right?
And that kind of goes to my larger problem; NECA did a pretty poor job of making sure these figures work together. The reality is that these aren't really a release for people that already have Turtles, right? If even the faces were swappable with all the previous versions (they're clearly not). So you've got happy or worried Leo, serious/angry Don, VERY angry or mildly outraged/shocked Raph, and happy Mikey. They feel like very separate releases meant to be different places in a display. But like.. how many people are buying the Turtles to display them all in different places doing different things?
It's only particularly off-putting because of how easy it would have been to make sure they all head an extra head that tonally matched the other figures. So everyone gets an angry head, or everyone gets a happy head, or whatever. I really don't understand why they'd choose to do it this way. Again, you can't use the 'they want you to buy all the previous versions' argument because you can't even mix-and-match with all the previous figures.
Leo was so close to being perfect in terms of being able to fit in with 'relaxed' or 'action' scenes, but then they went and gave his serious/angry eyes the all-red 'evil' treatment and completely ruined it.
