Thankfully I'm only interested in the individual ultimate toon turtles this go 'round, so if I find them, great, but I already have 2 versions (one set would go with the van if I snag these).
Ha, wish I could be so blase about it. All I want is the ultimate turtles and I don't have any of the previous ones. I'm not optimistic about my chances.
I hope you find them, it would be good for more collectors to finally get their hands on those turtles!
I'd hope that they'd make the Ultimate brother packs evergreen and produce a decent quantity, but that hasn't really been their style. Most likely though they will be up for preorder on the NECA site sometime this year. With luck they'll all drop at once and you can save on shipping.
Yes, I agree that releasing a continual, evergreen set of these ultimate turtles for Haulathon each year would really help with the popularity of the line.
The Business Suit Casey Jones figure is coming with an unmasked head, which is an expanded universe accessory as he never showed his face in the show. Good stuff though, I can't wait to get it!
I'm in for all the Haulathon toon stuff except for the space/samurai 2-pack.
If I succeed... sorry wallet.
Well, well, well, look what showed up today...
I'm especially happy that they all have different faces (the "redo" has extremely similar heads to the Toon & Space, but the execution & added paint applications help set them apart enough for my goal) which helps my goal of making them different characters from the same species, which thankfully is comic-accurate!
I put Toon's head, elastic belt, and swords on the "redo" body, as I like the brighter, bolder blue better (say that five times fast) for my default Usagi. Gave Redo Toon's robe (and body, obviously, haha) to help obscure him further from Miyamoto Usagi himself. Gave Space Cyborg's matching gun, and gave Cyborg Space's blue pistol for his holster. Gave Cyborg Redo's wakizashi & Space's glowy effect. Then, gave Classic Space's green handled wakizashi, since Yagi no Eda & Aoyagi have green handles in the comic, and then put him & the more detailed Spot with my Mirage figures!
Very happy with the set. 😀

I'm in on it all bricknator, I just can't help myself.
I am kinda mad about missing the Usagi 4 pack. For Haulathon, I mean, I guess I'm getting all the toon stuff, MIGHT not get the samurai Usagi since I already missed the 4 pack anyway.

I would have thought that you liking Usagi and not getting the Usagi 4 pack would make you more likely to get the TMNT Samurai Usagi now, not less likely. The Usagi 4 pack is part of it's own separate line, and I passed on it myself as I am happy just getting all the TMNT Usagi's.
Wait, was the 4 pack not TMNT branded? Well, that would reduce the sting, I guess, but that cyborg Usagi was so cool. 🙁

Nope, they are their own thing. Maybe NECA plans to release more in that line, and when they do, perhaps will release cartoon TMNT versions of said figures to get the most bang for their buck on the molds. I'm happy to just stick to the cartoon TMNT versions myself.

This is me as well. Have to draw some lines for $$ and space reasons.

Yeah exactly. There is so much great product out there, and it requires a fair bit of discipline to avoid buying anything and everything that is out there, in order to have a more focused and deliberate collection that you have space for to enjoy picking up future releases many years down the line. Otherwise it can just feel like hoarding instead of collecting.
That being said, I am all-in on this toon line, I plan to pick up everything they release, and that may well end up being 300+ figures when all is said and done, depending on how deep they go. However this line feels worth going all-in on because it is being so well supported with large standalone accessories like the portal, vehicles and dioramas being made; you really feel like you are actually building out a universe with it all.

Bingo. I'm all about world-building vs lining endless figures up on a shelf, and NECA isn't shying away from that with the Toon line. I hope they keep it going!
If they were to do a Blimp, which has been hinted at before, I guess it would need to come with a large, transparent, heavy duty arm to hold it up in the air right? The Playmates version always required you to hold it in the air yourself, which isn't very display-friendly.
I am thinking about a fantastic looking display set-up where we have the road sections that come on top of the lair pieces, and a street scene diorama on top of one road section, with giant Krang next to it on one of the 'empty' road sections, and the Blimp hovering in the sky above shooting at Krang, with some of the turtles climbing down from the Blimp via ropes onto the top section of the street scene so that they can battle Krang.
However that is only possible if the Blimp is done right.
