AFAIK, everyone whose van is label created Memphis TN hasn't seen any kind of movement. Mine is the same.
That's interesting. Mine originates in Memphis as well, which I was happy about because I'm only about 1.5 hours away. I wish they'd actually say what the problem is and what they really thought the ETA was going to be.
Was watchin' Robo and Veeb's stream earlier and Veebs was showing off the boxed Usagi 4-pack (which looks beautiful) and the GIGANTIC box for the Sewer lair. Guess he has a Trevor interview comin' up where those'll be discussed.
YOU GUYS. Neca has actually shipped my Turtle Van! I had a mysterious tracking number from Neca show up in my FedEx app and the reference number in it was the same as my Turtle Van order. Should be here tomorrow.
It's a Christmas miracle!
Same.

Ooh! Where can I watch that?
Here's the full stream, Veebs shows the boxes off at 31:15:
Though he took a better photo and stuck it on twitter here:

That Sewer Lair box looks amazing! I love that it has a handle.
I look forward to the Veebs/Trevor interview with the Lair, which sounds like it is happening today.
I missed the Van but have the Lair coming. Can't wait.
My only concern with the packaging is the name ''The Sewer Lair''. This piece is supposed to just be the Living Room, (or the Garage if you remove all accessories 😉 ).
This isn't supposed to be the whole sewer lair in it's entirety but the name implies it as such, so maybe NECA are now just planning to release this one room only and be done with it? I am still hopeful that we will still get the Kitchen and Laboratory in the near future, and perhaps even the Bedroom, Dojo and more much further into the future.
It's possible they didn't sell as many lairs as they wanted, plans for future ones could be altered if that's the case, especially with those MUSK sets coming.
I does feel a little bit like the wind is no longer in the sails of cartoon turtles. I hope not because I want the kitchen and Donnie's Lab. But the living room was met with a lot of pricing and features negativity.
Regardless, I'm trying to remain optimistic.
Yes, the Living Room was met with pricing issues and complaints before it was in-hand, and the van had loads of praise and was seen as much better value, again before it was in-hand.
Now that the van is in-hand, it has been criticised for lacking panel lining paint apps, for having single weak hinges on many of the doors and openings, which means they are very delicate and don't always close flush to the bodywork on some people's vans.
Therefore, because the van has turned out a bit worse than expected once in-hand, maybe the opposite will be the case with the Living Room when it is finally in-hand, once people realise how big and sturdy it is, and how much better the paint apps are on the diorama compared with the van.
This might then lead to a clamouring for a re-release of the set so that people that passed on it initially actually can have a chance to order it again, perhaps at the same time as the Kitchen and Laboratory become available.
As for the wind no longer being in the sails of the cartoon turtles, there are plenty more figures to come, don't you worry about that.
While NECA could release tons of misc characters for the toon line, there's a point where the base of people wanting to spend that much for obscure characters falls off, and random people at Target won't onboard into the line because of them. We're definitely over the hill IMO, but it's a pretty epic line as it stands already.
I think there will be at least one more big push though. Rereleasing the brothers as Ultimates is a good start, especially if they are easy to pickup. Same with Bebob, Rocksteady, Shredder and Krang. Mince those in with some deep cuts and I could see it going far into 2025.
Unsure about the big ticket items, though. Wallets are getting tight, shelves are getting full, and I think all toy lines are generally hurt by the abundance of great product out there, so much competition. Every Haslab-esque thing is met with groans about space to display, even with things people are excited about purchasing. I am eager for what 2024 will tell us about the state of the industry.
Preeeeeeetty sure they do the box design early on, so the name only being "Sewer Lair" doesn't mean anything.

If we were talking about a piece of the actual artwork picture on the box, then I would agree with you. However what is being discussed is just the words/text on the bottom that can potentially be changed quite late on in the process right?
Either way, it still seems like a bit of a faux pas from NECA to call it ''The Sewer Lair'' when it is just one room of the full sewer lair in the show.
