Yes I got that email too, but hey I may be pulling things out of thin air. If there’s smoke there’s generally a fire. I’m glad they decided to communicate that there is a problem.
When my email from NECA was the exact same tracking number as one generated in September it caused me to take notice.
I’ve emailed Customer Service kindly asking them to elaborate on “Unexpected delay” so we’ll see what they say.

@cmoney Guessing so. Someone asked them if it was a NECA store exclusive in an Instagram comment and their answer was "First Available".
I think that was in response to The Last Ronin figures. For now, the Usagi set is a NECA Store exclusive:

That doesn't mean it won't wind up at a convention, or on costumes.com, or anywhere else previous exclusives have shown up. If it's something you have to have though, then you may not want to risk relying on it showing up elsewhere.
Damn, I didn't screen shot it or anything, but I swear that comment was posted under a different question. I'm probably wrong, but I'm going to tell myself that they misposted, deleted the comment, and reposted in the correct place.
@swordagent you're probably not misremembering. They posted on their Facebook page today and it's basically an "Oops, we forgot to mention this is only being sold here!" Someone either saw the exclusivity questions and responses and realized what they were implying, or someone on the social media end really didn't know what was going on. Either way, their communication sucks. Maybe they should have actually hired a new social media guy after Blaine moved onto the development side, especially since he just gets asked all of these questions all of the time due to his previous role.
NECA customer service responded. They claim FedEx has the Van but FedEx hasn’t scanned it yet. That makes no sense but they said movement on my package should be soon. So if your’re still waiting it may start shipping any day now…I mean there’s really only one way it can go if NECA did get FedEx product to ship.

@prophet That is basically what they told me before the e-mail this morning. I'm not sure they know at all what they are talking about.
It’s been 14 days since I got the email from NECA that Van shipped. I think it’s a standard disclaimer of two to three weeks to ship.
The not trusting me side feels differently. It is the same tracking number since September. Honestly NECA is dragging their feet here for whatever reason. I mean I think they seem to have good cash flow and the label shows created. It’s just sucking in my crawl that it is the exact same tracking number since September. So it can’t be they can’t pay the shipping. Maybe the factories haven’t got their orders here. Maybe NECA is quality checking the product so they don’t get blasted by QC issues. Maybe it’s not NECA and FedEx is giving them the low ball service NECA paid for.
It’s discouraging.

A lot of companies have started printing applying shipping labels to boxes when the stuff is still in China, hence the crazy long delays of when the label is created and when it actually updates.
Label gets printed, item gets packed in a container, item waits for the container to get filled, ships from the factory to the port, waits at the port for a ship, gets shipped across the ocean, waits at customs, container gets unloaded, goes through transit to a distribution hub, then gets delivered to a shipping provider.
Ha, this tickled me, but I just got in the mail the correct hand for human Rocksteady that I asked for uh...like...was it last year? When did the Premutation pack come out? I mean good on them, they got it to me.
I finally got my van one week ago. After months of an incorrect tracking number since September.
One day there was stealthily just a new tracking number, and on another occasion one of my tracking numbers had a duplicate shipment. They changed carriers once or twice. But it was definitely misuse of the service to send out so many different e-mails over the last two months saying that my order had been shipped when it obviously hadn't.
If I could offer a word of advice I'd say try to put it out of your mind entirely because there's nothing you can do, and trying to stay on top of the updates will just leave you frustrated. I hope all of you get your shipments eventually.
I don't really have any enjoyment in samurai armor. It just doesn't do anything for me, and in a lot of cases, I actively dislike certain designs/executions.
But GDI, that Usagi looks like literal utter perfection, holy crap.
I had no idea they print labels in factories. Then September makes perfect sense. It also makes sense for the delay. I work for a distributor and goods we know are in port are awaiting getting to us. So the label makes more sense. Thank you for that. I am resigned to it will come when it comes. If it isn’t here by February I am requesting a refund. It’s a luxury item and I may want something else more by then.

Has anyone who got the shipping delay email about the Turtle van had it ship since receiving it? In the update email this week it mentioned the van as "currently shipping" but I really haven't seen any new posts anywhere online indicating that.
AFAIK, everyone whose van is label created Memphis TN hasn't seen any kind of movement. Mine is the same.
