Example of why I'm always checking the 5K Instagram:
Hot dang, he's looking great all painted up. Playing with Autumn, the lack of biceps and thigh swivels really hampers easy posing, and double jointed elbows will be great too. Great to see, but bittersweet as only 2 of the 4 will have the updates. Unless he rereleases Leo and Donnie, which wouldn't be great, but if they were different enough I could double dip.
Or just some arm and leg packs? hm.
I notice in the post that they're calling them Rage Toys now. Wonder if that's official or just a translation artifact.
Probably them having to keep shifting names so Playmates doesn't do a "not" legal action against them. :p
Finally got Non-Don and the accessory pack. I like these little guys but they are very static. More excited for Memorex Mikey and Really-Not Raph given the better articulation. The ones I have are fun enough. Don't think they're worth 60-ish bucks, but I'm already half way invested and now they drop Bebop on us, so I'll likely get at least the main ones and B & R if they make it out of the chute. Depending upon how Shredder looks, as that really is make or break, as the samurai aesthetic doesn't really mean much to me and those parts just stay in the box.
Got my Don, Splinter, and accessory pack today. Not much to say except I love 'em and they're some of my favorite TMNT designs/figures on my shelf. Can't wait for more.
If tracking is right, mine should all be here Monday, Boo-urns, lol.
I find myself going back and forth between Don's original hooded head and the "bonus" head. Both offer such a different look.
I saw someone on youtube who added thigh swivels to his Leo, and while it got more range of motion, the sculpt definitely isn't designed for it to line up very well, and the plastic under all that paint is actually white, so you'd see it when it's not lined perfectly.
I mean, I had my Leo riding the D20Studio wolf for the longest time, so I never really noticed a hindrance in articulation, but am glad they're getting more engineered in for the latter two.
If you take the interior of Splinters mutagen tube and charge it up it glows in the dark. It looks pretty awesome.
I have been thinking about how to get TMNT into my 1:12 collection. I didn't want super7 style and the NECA just didn't feel the right size.
I'd suggest the LS IDW turtles for 1/12 TMNT.
I'll 2nd these, they're great figures for the price and they fit well with other 1/12 lines. They're far from perfect, but they're also cheaper than most brands
Jesus, this thing just keeps getting better:
Creator finally updated his Bilibili page with a video for Mike/Summer: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1LD421s7Sd/?spm_id_from=333.999.0.0
Obviously made before 5K revealed the samurai parts in the post above. Sadly, Bilibili has updated their scripts or whatever so that only the most recent three comments show on these posts, so there's not much useful info to translate.
One comment today I did manage to translate. When asked if Leo will be getting a reprint, the reply was "There will be a Leo with different styles."
