@reefer-shark New Jabba the Hutt set is a must on account it has the ROTJ color matching dias to the throne room set. The one included with the Throne room is colored to BOBF.
Â
Yep, you are correct. I still own the old Wal-Mart set that came with Jabba's dias. I was planning on just using that if it fits *crossing fingers*  Though Im sure after watching some reviews on the new set when it hits, I'll see a bunch of improvements and want to buy the damn thing too lol.

Pulse charged me for Jabba's denizens pack. Pretty sure I have Ree Yees and Tessek already, but pretty sure I don't already have those human skiff guards.Â
Â
Ree Yees was originally released as Black Series #25 in 2014, and then included again in the Jabba's Palace Adventure set.Â
Tessek is all-new. Amazingly, the last Tessek released was the POTJ version back in 2001.
Â
I'm going to take this opportunity to toot my own horn a little bit.

Way, way back in 2005 I used a floor plan of Jabba's throne Room presented in the Star Wars Technical Journal: Tatooine to make my own scale diorama:
I believe this is the actual Lucasfilm drawings that the Technical Journal image was based off of:
How I went about it was to measure the dimensions of my original 1983 Jabba's Throne/Dais, then measure the Dais in the floor plan, do the conversion and base the diorama dimensions using those measurements. I measured every wall, doorway, angle, etc and recreated the above floor plan exactly.
Current pictures (with the Rancor grating removed):
Now, here we are 18 years later and Hasbro has released their own official Throne Room and it is beautiful. But, would it be compatible and would I be able to incorporate it into my own diorama? Seeing the dimensions of it listed on Pulse, I felt it would be close. Turns out I was wrong. It wasn't a close fit, it is an exact fit:
You can see the width is exactly the same and even the stairs match perfectly.
Here is the diorama with the official playset in place:
I can't wait to get the Rancor grating back in place, open up and place all of the accessories that came with the set and continue to fill out the space with more Jabba goons.
I really, really hope that between this set and the success of the Ghost Hasbro continues to develop large environment pieces like this so we can all build or own Star Wars Galaxy!

That is really impressive and awesome Sepster! Excellent work on your dio, and good to see that Hasbro scaled the playset perfectly.
@sepster Absolutely amazing work on your display. I'm blown away at the accuracy on both your original model and the Hasbro produced piece that they work together seamlessly.
I am also a huge supporter of diorama pieces that help collect figures and provide a amazing display. So I'm completely with you on backing / supporting any they offer.
@reefer-shark Toys Are The Way on Youtube shows the Wal-mart Dias does not fit into the Throne room unfortunately. I'd say it was plotted by Hasbro if it wasn't for Sepster showing off how detailed they went with accurately portraying the Throne room's scale.
@sepster That's simply amazing! I'd love to see pics of the Rancor pit too.
I got my preliminary throne setup done today. The Walmart dias absolutely fits, but it's a little snug. It's so hard to decide who goes on the barge and who hangs out in the castle. I think I still have a LOT of rearranging to do with all my Jabba toys.
Here's how I have it as of now:
@shooting and @sepster - you don't need the /img tags anymore! Save yourselves the trouble! 🙂
Everyone posting photos is making me seriously want to open this set and also get Yarna. I never got her and now I feel like if I do set this stuff up she needs to be there. Love this "candid" shot of her:

Incredible, sepster. All that planning paid off in the best ways possible. I wish I had the space to commit to a display like that. It belongs in a museum.
That dio is amazing. Must have been alot of work. Good job man.
I got the Tython Boba. Why is every Boba nowadays unable to hold the guns proper? Even the armored one can't hold his gun for shit. It took some finangling but I managed to get it well enough to work. I do think the 6 inch one has this issue though too, on this particular figure. I am also slightly confused. The Vintage has a black robe. The Black series has a dark brown robe. I can't really tell from pics which is accurate mainly cause of the lighting but I think it's the brown one? But then, why would this one come with the wrong color since it was made long after the series came out, whereas the Black series version came out closer to the shows release and has a better chance of being wrong? So that makes me think the black one is right. Either way, it's a pretty good figure. They're doing a pretty good job at these smaller ones nowadays, except for the Boba they keep repainting and re-releasing with the shitty thigh joints and no side holster for his pistol. Those I keep in package, for said reasons.
@captaincracker The display looks awesome man! Really glad to see the Wal-Mart dias can be fudged in there too.  I love your setup in those shelves, excellent setup with all the mini scenes. Super cool.
Pulse charged me for Din's N-1 Starfighter and Target shipped the Luke/Grogu 2PK.
