I'm with you guys. I really just don't understand how they can justify a black series figure price tag on a single carded 3 3/4" figure. They're not even disguised as "deluxe" figures this time..
They would have had for two at $39.99, and even that is still ridiculously overpriced. I ordered one because I'm a sucker and an addict that wants the whole "mural" set, but damn do I feel like a fool for doing so.
That's why they do it. Cause they know you'll buy it, and then they get away with it. If everyone put their foot down and said no I'm paying that and wait for a sale, maybe they'd realize that they need to stop overcharging for shit. But people won't do that, for fomo, or fear the scalpers may try to pick up the slack and then charge more. One good thing I would think or hope about these high prices is scalping them hopefully isn't viable anymore. You probably won't make much, cause they're charging what you would've. And then just to make it worth your while, you'd have to charge an insane amount, and hope people pay it, or get stuck with the figure and sol on the money. I can't imagine there are too many figures nowadays that people can make money off of flipping. 1 here or there, but it can't be a sustainable income.

Glad to see I'm not the only shocked to get the E-wing email this afternoon. Looks great. I've been a fan of the design since Dark Empire.
I've always regretted selling off the Action Fleet version when prices got crazy and was happy to see Hot Wheels show off an E-Wing late last year but this is at a whole different level.
Not a TVC collector either but it's going to be hard to resist. Wish it came with a flight stand.
Dark Empire... while some of the designs were a little funky (ahem, Boba Fett), will always have a special place in my heart. I will never forget how thrilled I was to see something new for Star Wars at that point.
I really like the E Wing design, even though it does look like it's from Battlestar Galactica. But I think their fighters were rip offs of Xwings a little bit. So full circle we go. But definitely not $100 cool. I didn't buy the N1 for that and that's probably my favorite fighter design.

I'm thrilled that this E-Wing came out of nowhere, it looks beautiful. And to get KE4-N4 (KEA-NA.... KEANA.... KENNER) with that beautiful dome styled after the original Kenner R2-D2, this set is a home run!
Today is the last day to preorder the E-wing.
