Did a bit of a purge with my Black Series shelf yesterday. Took some of the extra army builders that I don't need multiple of, as well as a few character variants, and threw them up for sale. Just trying to clear some room on the shelf, and get a little extra moola to help with some bills. It's nice not having things feel quite as crowded anymore.

Amazon pushed my Palpatine and SBD back to December too. Something tells me they may release sooner, but I'm cool either way. Definitely want to get that SBD on my shelf, especially with the Droideka coming out soon, but there's so much else about to hit that I want to give my wallet a break. As long as the Acolyte figures hit while the show is airing, I'll be happy.

Agreed about Shaak Ti- she's always been one of the more popular Jedi. She even got a couple action figures for ROTS despite not being in the movie- the 3.75 inch line and the 12 inch line. Crazy that both of her planned deaths got cut- Grievous and Anakin, but hey, it meant she got to survive Order 66 (at least at the time- I think it's since been retconned as the Anakin death being canon). I always wish she got more to do in the Clone Wars cartoon, but I liked her appearances regardless. She was regal, and really helped instill the sense of unity and teamwork into the Clones. And in the OG Clone Wars, she held her own against Grievous and his Magnaguards to be the sole survivor of that group of Jedi. Man, I wish we'd gotten another version of that scene in the CG Clone Wars cartoon. Would've given her more to do, and helped Grievous feel a lot more threatening.

Shaak Ti had a second deleted death scene in ROTS when Anakin kills her in the temple. Lucas really wanted her dead, just couldn't figure out where heh. Then passively let her live anyway.

@enigmaticclarity

Like Ru1977 said, there is a deleted scene where she is meditating in the Jedi Council when Order 66 takes place and Anakin storms the Jedi Temple.  He comes up behind her and runs his saber through her back.

Shaak Ti's Canon Death is when Anakin Kills her in that deleted scene since Disney took over and created their Canon Timeline.

In Legends her death is on Felucia in the game The Force Unleashed.

Hasbro Pulse is SO cruel.  I have a page open in my browser for the Gree/Yoda 2-pack that I refresh every day or three to see if it goes back in stock, and both yesterday and today Pulse has sent me emails asking me if I forgot to buy something I was looking at...and the item they send the link to is Gree/Yoda.  Which I click in the email and both times see is sold out.  😫

Pulse uses off-the-shelf e-commerce software for its site called Shopify.  I'm surprised Shopify doesn't check inventory before sending those marketing emails out.  🤨

I hate when Pulse does that. There were some ML items that I also had in my cart that got sold out, then they'd keep emailing me if I still want them. YES I still want them, but if they're not in stock, please don't email unless they're back in stock.

I could use at least another female Jedi to balance my prequel display a bit, and Shaak Ti seems as good a choice as any, but I think my most wanted is still Saesee Tinn. I think it's just the allure of those first few new Jedi we got introduced to in The Phantom Menace hype that my affinity comes from. I don't remember him doing much, I just thought his design was cool. But even with Ki Adi Mundi and the Destroyer Droid coming, I'm completely out of room in that display space unless I do a major overhaul.

Pulse also did that to me twice so far for Ki-Adi. Annoying!

I rewatched AOTC for the first time in at least 18 years the other night after seeing TPM in theatres - wow. The difference between even these two films in how they've aged is huge. The digital environments in AOTC leave a lot to be desired, and how everyone's eyes are yellow half the time. Also, I never paid attention to how Padme's shirt got ripped - that cat takes one swipe at her and someone gets her sleeve and the front AND back of her shirt? Hahaha, sure George. 🙂

Also, I didn't remember that Shmi is another character who just dies from fatigue in this universe, so that's now Padme, Shmi, Luke, Leia, Yoda - anyone else?

I assumed she died from wounds Lucas preferred not to show to keep it kid-friendly.  They had her in a torture pose.

Yes. I was mostly making a joke. But when your immaculately-conceived son shows up from the far end of the galaxy to rescue you from torture and certain death that you have thus far survived through your own willpower, to decide now is the time to give up and keel over in his arms instead of letting his arrival rejuvenate your will to live is a weird move, especially when dying in his arms will scar him forever.

Like mother, like daughter-in-law. "I have twins who need protecting, but oh my broken heart that is so broken... peace."

Yea that Padme death is rough.  I really love Revenge of the Sith so I've tried hard over the years to make "dying of a broken heart" make sense in my head...but I just haven't been able to do it yet.  😳

I mean...WTF, George?  Dying of a broken heart?  Has that ever happened anywhere else?  I get the idea of having a broken heart and then committing suicide, but having the actual sadness kill you?  🙄

While broken heart syndrome can actually kill a person, and I'm sure Padme was broken and devastated, I always felt that what killed her beyond that was A.) She was just assaulted and Force Choked, and B.) She had just carried and given birth to two incredibly powerful, Force Sensitive children.

Or.......and hear me out........ she was secretly taking death sticks on the reg.

Yeah, I always thought it was the assault by Anakin that led to complications with the birth of the twins that killed Padme. A whole dark twist thing - he went to the dark side to save her but he was the eventual reason for her death.

The Shmi thing was just handled poorly from the start. I kept waiting to hear later in the movie or in ROTS that the sand people were acting on Sidious' behalf or something. Makes no sense to me that they just randomly grab people and haul them around to torture them. Of course it makes even less sense that she was just left a slave after Phantom Menace.

I like to think that Palpatine secretly siphoned off the rest of her life energy to preserve Anakin until he got his suit.

Now Amazon moved Sidious to August 2nd. This has been an emotional roller coaster.

@ru1977 Same here. They gotta stop playing with my emotions like this. First Ki Adi, who I still don't have, now this. It's enough to make a guy turn to the dark side!

On the subject of ROTS, I still, after all these years, wish he'd leaned just a little more into Anakin suspecting something going on between Obi Wan and Padme.
