I gave Morgan the spear - not sure who came with it, or even which SW "expression" it's from, but it gave her something appropriate. 🙂
She's still got one of the best likenesses in this line.
One of the Din figures came with 1. So if you didn't get it from a 3rd party that's probably where you got it. I don't know of any other figure that had it. Just the one Din, and they've done so many I'm not even sure which. I'm not worried about the spear considering it doesn't exist anymore. And the Darksaber is cooler, as is the Blade of Talzin, imo.
I kinda wanted to wait on Momaw anyway but we're out of town this week and I never logged into bbts and ee on my phone, so definitely have to wait anyway. Amazon I could have done. Eh. I feel confident he'll be available a while though.
I know there's not a lot of Bad Batch talk in general, but man I just love this show and I really hope we get one more Omega with
Never in a million years would've thought a show with a Rambo homage as one of the lead characters would be one of my favorite Star Wars stories. I just love how it's an allegory about how people in power throw soldiers away when they don't need them anymore and the inhumanity of that. (Which of course is why Hunter's Rambo homage is actually brilliant and not cheesy.)
Didn't mean for all of these to show up the same day... but sorry, not sorry! Ordered two from DeepDiscount but they shipped DHL which takes forever, so then Amazon had them for two-day (even though my pre-orders still haven't shipped) but I accidentally ordered one and I needed two so I ordered three... and they all showed up today.
Glad I did, though, because her face print is too high on most of these - she has massive bags under her eyes, and then her hairline is off. The lower middle has a much lower hairline, almost none of the fade.
Anyway, she's great! And don't worry, I'm going to return most of these. 🙂
FYI Jabba and Endor Trooper are back up at Pulse Outlet. Of course, my return window expired on the Endor troops I got from Amazon. 🙄
THANK YOU! Missed out on Jabba when he first went to Outlet, and was kicking myself. I saw your post yesterday late in the day, and immediately popped over there to order him! Very happy to FINALLY have Jabba!
Tales of the Empire looks great to me, and definitely hits me like a toy commercial. Not in a bad way.
I'm really excited about Tales of the Empire as well. It looks great, and Tales of the Jedi was a lot of fun, so I hope this will be too.
There is supposed to be a Tales of the Jedi season 2 in the works. I hope someday they do a Tales of the Sith. Seeing this branch off of Tales of the Empie gives me hope they may very well try that.
Also, I've had some stuff charging lately from Pulse. EP I Ani and Padme, as well as the EP II Super Battle Droid and 3PO on Battle Droid body 2 pack.
@supercamel-1982 I'm wondering if this is a sorta sequel to TOTJ, given how the title morphed at the end.
@ru1977 Yeah, I think you are right. I guess there isn't another Jedi related "Tales" season in the works right now like I said earlier. When I was told there was another Tales of the Jedi Season coming, the person who told me meant this, The Tales of the Empire. So, scratch what I said earlier.
I'd be happy with more TOTJ. It's cool that they're open to doing minis like these but I would take a full season or three of both TOTJ and TOTE. I hope for Tales of the Rebellion as well and of course... Bounty Hunters.
@ru1977 Like a toy commercial but not in a bad way is a great way of describing it. I want a lot of those characters.
Definitely wondering if a certain random character's action figure will get a lot more valuable when this show airs.
So my dad said he read they already axed any plans for S2 of Acolyte? I don't know where he read it, but if it's true, so much for it being their next big thing, cancelled before it airs lol. Hopefully they don't try to do a cliffhanger or anything then.
@trunks3540 I may be wrong but I would guess he heard it from Critical Drinker or one of the other people who already hate the show and 'report' anything negative they can. If the show does well, they'll do a second season. Headland apparently already has a plan for where it can go.
Yeah, I've seen a few of those "Acolyte S2 plans cancelled due to woke backlash" articles lately, but they're all clearly just bogus. A large portion of the haters are still gonna watch the show and more than likely will end up enjoying at least parts of it, even if they never admit it. What a miserable existence it must be to just automatically hate and complain about everything that's different? I'm reserving judgement until I see the show, but I haven't outright hated any of the shows so far. Even BoBF, my least favorite, I still enjoyed and was glad to have.
Anywho, Tales of the Empire looks great! (Put in spoilers, in case someone wants to go into the show blind
Excited for more stories, and it'll be nice to see Grievous in action again! I know that the person he fights makes it out alive, but it would be nice to see my guy be threatening again. I'm not expecting OG CW levels, but a little retroactive un-nerfing would be appreciated! Would be cool to see Merrin as well, even for a quick second. Interested to learn more about the Fourth Sister too, since she had so little to do in Kenobi. Heck, seeing all the side Inquisitors- Marrok, and the one Ahsoka fought in Tales s1, not to mention a continuation (conclusion?) of Barriss' story- is always welcome! Excited for what it could mean for figures as well- I'd happily take a Barriss and the Tales Inquisitor (did he ever get a proper name?) Would still love a young Dooku and Yaddle as well- there's an easy 2 pack there.
Wonder what future seasons might look like. I'd love more Jedi tales- Plo Koon especially- but I'd also take Tales of the Bounty Hunters, Tales of the Rebellion, etc. I'd love to see more Enfys Nest; we know from the Solo novel that she has a brief encounter with a young Jyn- maybe there's more there than we initially knew. As always, the possibilities are endless!
I'm really torn... That Momaw Nadon figure is one of the few Star Wars figures I've still been wanting to exist ... but $35 feels like a lot and I'm struggling to commit. I get that there isn't a ton of reuse potential - but is it really worth $10 more than a normal figure. I'm not sure.
