I wonder when we will start to see the effects of this change in leadership, and what those changes will be. I know that they work on products well in advance, so it might be a while.

I'm just hoping for more classic OT and PT aliens.

I imagine we'll notice stuff like that, what, two years at most? It's funny a few of us were JUST expressing apathy for the line then this happens.

I guess even Hasbro thought the fanf&#% yesterday was bad.

Just got around to watching the livestream, why is Hasbro so lost with this line?

It's like they hate money or something?

Maybe we'll get the double knees back. One can hope. And some more prequel and game characters would be fantastic. And Darth Talon. I want Talon. An *accurate* Talon. Not a censorship monstrosity.

Wasn't the new head Steve Evans already the head of LucasFilm figures a few years ago?  Because of that I don't expect many changes.

Today, I pre ordered x2 Phase I Clones, x2 Droidekas, and 1 Thrawn.  I may very well end up with more Clones and Droidekas before it's over though.

Now that there is new leadership for the Star Wars brand, and Hasbro sales are down and they are really going to want to get those sales up, I really do hope Hasbro starts giving us more OT and PT characters.  There are SOOOOO many we still don't have after all these years.  And I think they would sell much better for them.

I would like more OT figures for sure, but also, and maybe I'm alone here, but more Boba Fetts. I would really love an archive of the Kenner Boba Fett, but also if they did the Prepro versions, I would get them all. Yes, even the one that's basically the Prepro 1 with the helmet that looks like the ESB helmet. I think they basically have the parts for all of them except new left forearms. And if they do the forearm for the Prepro 1, they could finally do a more accurate all-white supertrooper version as well (and use the Deathwatch Mandalorian head).

I also still hope a mythos version of Boba will show up in canon somewhere so they can do a figure of that, like they did with Obi-Wan.

I'm genuinely shocked that no company (excluding Hot Toys) has ever made any of the Prepro Fetts. It feels like it'd be easy money.

The droidekas without shields are disconcerting.  If this were Legends I would assume it's the team cheaping out a bit, but given that most incomplete Black Series figures get re-released later in a more complete state I'm not sure that's the case here.  Half of me thinks we'll get the shields with a future release and that's their entire plan.

Did we see droidekas without shields much?  Every time I recall seeing them in their deployed state they had shields up.

Didn't realize this until today but Destroyer droids look like they do for the same reason the battle droids look like they do.  Battle droids were designed by Genosians so they look vaguely like that insect species, and droidekas were designed by an insect species name Colicoids that look vaguely like the droidekas.  Same goes for the scorpenek droids seen in the final Book of Boba Fett episode, those were also a Colicoid design.

Anyone heard of this Colicoid species?  I don't recall ever seeing them in any Star Wars show or movie.

I don't think we'll see then with energy shields because they would take up a massive amount of space in the package.  Even if it were just a section to stand in front of them, it would have to be like 6-7" in diameter.

@enigmaticclarity I think they were mentioned in the visual dictionary for tpm? I remember reading that sometimes around then and can't recall if wookieepedia was a thing yet. But your post is the first time I've seen a picture of one as it was just mentioned in text from what I've seen.

Saw the news about Patrick this morning. I certainly wish him well on his new endeavors. Definitely explains the livestream- they were without a leader and probably struggling. I'm not terribly familiar with Steve, other than maybe recognizing his face, but if he really is the new head of Star Wars, I hope he brings some new life into the line. I get that it's a heck of a job in good and bad ways, and the ire of the fans are always directed at you, which I wouldn't wish upon anyone, but it's been struggling for a while, both in terms of product and fan communication. While I'm sure both the Star Wars and Marvel teams have to play by the rules, only the Star Wars team really comes off like it. I don't know if it's just more charisma, better PR training, or what, but I'd watch the Marvel team play and talk toys all day, but the same can't be said for the Star Wars team. Even on the more "corporate" answers, the Marvel team just sells it better. Hopefully that'll change in the future. It would be nice to feel like I'm being talked to by collectors and fans, not teachers or corporate suits.

Yea the Destroyer shields would also probably jack the price up for the extra plastic and packaging. As it is, while I would love to buy a small squad of Drstroyers, ideally 3, I don't have the room or money for them in their present state, let alone if they added shields. I'm hoping that they go on sale or discount like the Dark Troopers did, and everyone was wanting armies of those too. If I see them for like $25 I'd cave and get a few. I still want more Dark Troopers too, but the lack of space is becoming a real issue.
