I got my BBTS box this past weekend, and the Star Wars BS figures I got were Marrok, Hera, Chopper, Huyang, Omega, Ahsoka (tcw) x2, and Phase 2 Clone trooper (x4). My buddy who grabbed me Fives also sent him and he arrived. I did not open any of them because I got my Plunderlongs in and they stole the show for me.

Having said that, I finally had some time this morning and decided to open Omega. I really love her. I pulled out my old Omega and I planned to head swap for this new head, but the ball is stuck in the s1 Omega head, not the neck. I am going to have to find a way to remove that. Overall I love the new Omega figure, she looks great with Hunter and Wrecker, and I am hype to see TBB season 3. I am debating on which of the other figures to open next.

This comment made me imagine a revisit to the multimedia push from 1996. Maybe in a couple years, when SOTE has its 30th anniversary? You could have some gamer greats, some comic series, etc.

Dash Rendar, the Luke you described, Xizor, Guri, Leebo, Boushh repaint, Boba repaint, Vader repaint (you must have repaints), Lando with that yellow shirt and black vest, Leia in the blue outfit, Chewie repaint with a new head and overlay, Jix, and a Coruscant Guard with alternate Luke and Lando heads. I assume that would be a deluxe figure since it has accessories and is an army builder.

I would go crazy for all of that. SotE was an amazing time to be a SW fan. Xizor in particular is a top 10 SW character for me, and I’d take any and all figures from that era. 
I’d also be down for Dark Empire, particularly a Cam Kennedy-style Luke with the wrap-like sleeves and high-collared cloak.

@aceofknaves it totally was! I remember it so well because I was the only open star wars nerd at my high school before all that. People would look at my Fett shirts and fondly say "oh yeah i remember those movies" like they were relics. But when Dark Empire came out, it was so exciting. And star wars just kept topping itself. Comics! Everything but the movie event!! Special Editions!!! Prequels!!!!!

Then Star Wars was cemented back into pop culture and hasn't left. But yeah, amazing time for be a fan.

On the topic of EU characters, I really want Corran Horn. I have been reading Rogue Squadron, he would be an easy choice. Just a Wedge / xwing Luke body with a new head. I would be all for that. 

For SOTE I would want Dash Rendar the most. Guri would be a cool choice too. Maybe some of these characters will be in Outlaws, and we will get more characters then Kay. 

Seeing the Shadows of the Empire discussed, I want Prince Xizor so much.  I Would be thrilled to get Dash Rendar and anyone else for that matter from SotE.  But I have always loved Xizor.

Today, I checked online to see if my local Game Stop had the exclusive Battle Damaged General grievous in, and their website said they did not.

I decided to check while I was down that way anyhow.  They had 10 lol. 10 General Grievous figures instead of non.  So, I bought one.

While I already have the first grievous released with the cape and the Clone Wars animated grievous, I love the Prequel trilogy and Clone Wars era.  So, even though the Battle Damage is all that's different, I'm still happy to have this.  Plus, 4 more Lightsabers.

One can never have too many extra lightsabers.

Or Stormtroopers.

And I think it was in the SOTE novel that had one of my favorite non-action Vader moments. He was in his chamber and focusing on Kenobi so hard that he was able to use to dark side of the Force to breathe on his own without the machine. And he got so excited that it worked* that his anger slipped away and it stopped working. But it was a great moment and well written. That book also, to me, really captured Vader's relationship with Palpatine and how the Emperor did see him as kinda disposable if someone was able to supplant him.

@supercamel-1982 We really should get a Prince Xizor, especially now that he has been brought into canon. It would be really cool to get a new alien, as Hasbro usually knocks them out of the park. I'd imagine he'd look incredible.

Right, if they only ever do one SOTE figure, Xizor has to be it. But if they do four, I'd say Dash, Leebo, and Guri.

I'd be happy with those four from SOTE too... even as a box set.

But I just really want Dash Rendar. He's #1 on my BS wishlist.

It's really such an iconic project, and clearly taps into nostalgia. I'm surprised they haven't done at least Dash and Xizor yet. But they did have a few cool and unique designs in there.

@ru1977 I'm surprised Filoni hasn't brought Dash Rendar into canon yet. He definitely has an affection for the EU stuff, especially the really good characters, so I think it's just a matter of time.

@thegillman That is a REALLY good point. I join you in being surprised he hasn't yet.

I'm still hoping for a Boba Fett show set before the OT with Daniel Logan, which would be a cool place for live action Xizor to appear.

Got the new CW Ahsoka figure and she is beautiful! The face sculpt is fantastic and captures this era perfectly. The skirt is done really well, though I wish she had more ROM in her knees, elbows and ankles could be better.

Her lightsabers, though, look like Lite Brite plastic - they are almost vibrant green. And her left hand is hard to get to grip them, though I like it's half-open pose allows for more interesting posing options without the saber.

These are the big problems I had with her. Be careful with those knee swivel pegs too. Mine almost broke because they're really thin. Just trying to move her knees up and down put stress on them.

I read somewhere he was gonna a try to get Mara Jade and Galen Marek in the new canon somehow. Galen would have to be nerfed of course, but having them both somehow would be amazing. I'd take a TFU show any day. And adding Mara in somewhere with deep fake Luke or a recast in a new mini series would be Wizard. But who knows, maybe it's just not feasible.

I can definitely see him trying to get at least Dash in. That would also be cool. And Kyle Katarn. Gods there are so many good ass EU characters that Disney decided to try and fuck over. Disney sucks.
