I bet they'll also release a FU2 version with two blue sabers and the yelling head down the track. Hell, pack in the extra electricity hands and make it a deluxe and I wouldn't complain. There's absolutely no way I can justify the price of Pulsecon version (it's $200+ in Australia), but I'd like the elec hands and yelly head at some point. Do it, Hasbro, you money sucking monsters!
I can't justify the American price for the 3 pack so I get it. It's way too much for just 3 figures, even with all the extras that I won't use and can live without. If they do release a 2nd game version he'll probably just get the same shit the single releases always do. 2 lightsabers. Although the Vintage one that came out forever ago had removable armor and extra pieces so you could have him in 2 different outfits. I would love that for the Black Series one. But these days it would have to be a deluxe, which I would be fine with, but I doubt they'll even do that. Galen doesn't get enough love anymore, even though he's proven to be super popular with the fans. The small scale was all in on him at one point. We got like 6 or 7 different outfits of his, not to mention 2 Junos, Proxy, special Vader, Shaak Ti, Morris's Brood, Rahm Kota even a TFU Rancor. And that's not even counting all the Stormtrooper variants. He had like 3 or 4 box sets dedicated to just him and the game. Those were the golden days, even if the figures weren't as good as they are becoming now, the selection and choices were top notch.

I ended up going on a spending spree on GameStop's site last night. Got CW Ahsoka, 2 Magnaguards, Huyang, Marrok, Paz Viszla, and Omega. They were out of Hera, or else I'd have gotten her too. My wallet hates me- I feel like I just did some huge binge eating session. But hey, I still had my $5 rewards coupon, so it's okay right? 😜Â I'm just back on the Star Wars hype train again (not that I ever left) because of Ahsoka.
Did Greef's droid ever end up going up for sale yesterday? Kept checking Wal-Mart's site, but never saw it. Managed to snag Starkiller easily enough, though. Oh, and got the Holiday Purge Trooper delivered. Man, that guy is magical- maybe my favorite holiday release yet. Makes me want to get my tree up early and have them around it.
Excited and cautiously optimistic for tomorrow. A new reveal or 2 would be nice, but even if they just put up Ki-Adi for pre-order, I'll be fine with it. Would be nice if he could start shipping out now, too, but I'll keep my expectations in check.
Yakface says Greef's droid will go up for preorder in Spring, 2024.
@ru1977 Ay yi yi, you'd think I'd have at least read the post thoroughly before I shared, but I guess not. 🤣Â Don't know how I missed that. Well, all the better, then. Save me that little bit of money now.
I don't blame you. We get excited and wanna buy!
You cannot win Revan!Â
Â
You are making me want to go back and replay KOTOR again. Two of my favourite games. Amazing shot.Â
Â
On another note, I have a friend who found Fives for me and picked him up! I am so beyond excited and thankful for my friend. I am so excited to get him in the mail.Â

Honestly with as many problems I have with the black series line I don't feel like this is one of them. The barebones figure comes with the standard amount of accessories any force users get, a lightsaber. If you want all the extra stuff you have the other option.
But you have to allow that for many of us, the barebones nature of the force-user characters (and others) IS one of the biggest problems Black Series has. And Starkiller is just a much starker example because, unlike perhaps many other figures, we KNOW the parts are already tooled up and paint masks are already made for other accessories for him and Hasbro is just -choosing- not to include even one extra hand or lightsaber blade.
They don't want to tool (and all the other stuff that goes with that) some force-pushing hands for Luke Skywalker? I don't like it, but I get it. Fine. It's a lot of extra money that they wouldn't see a return on for quite a long time, potentially, since Luke will sell without those extras. But Starkillers extras -exist already-. They're just being cheap. We know toy companies are cheap, but I'd say most of us don't like them being quite so brazen about it.

Â
It's not cheap to not want to fuck over the people who paid a pretty high premium for extra bits, it simply makes sense. You don't want the people who paid over 100 dollars to feel like they should have waited a couple weeks. Including extra bits in the barebones version completely tanks the value of the premium one. You have to make that clear distinction between the two versions.
Â
I don't know if it's that outlandish from the company who did a box set with three Spidermen with a bunch of hands, then released the two most desirable figures from that set individually with some of the hands AND previously unavailable unmasked heads not long after.

(Shouldn't be said but sometimes needs to be -- this is just in the spirit of conversation and is not intended to be aggressive or combative or anything like that. Love!)
It is cheap, though, because I don't believe that has anything to do with their decision. Not truthfully. As our very best Ru pointed out, this is something Hasbro has already done so it's not this like.. 'Hasbro would NEVER do that to customers' kind of thing. It would be, in my opinion, insane to think that Hasbro does anything out of a concern for preserving value to customers.
And further, I think it would be absolutely horrible to deprive the majority of collectors from buying something from you, just to make a much smaller group of them .. feel better about their purchase?
Also also.. no one is suggesting they just put everything in a box and sell it at regular price. Look at what actually comes in that set; two stormtroopers with weapons, a force effect stand, FOUR lightsaber blades, three heads, and NINE hands (including an effect hand and two lightning hands). Any collector that gets -mad- at Hasbro for releasing a retail version of that figure with ONE extra hand or ONE extra lightsaber blade is a piece of fucking shit and Hasbro should drive to their house and take all their toys away because the joy faded from their heart and mind long ago and left only an angry, pissy husk that deserves only loneliness and like... endlessly repeated Shartimus videos or something.
Â
Wow. As ranty as that got, I don't disagree.Â
Also, always nice to get an affectionate shout out!

Of course, just friendly discussion always! I feel like that spiderman three pack was always intended to have the head sculpts but they just did not get it worked out in time, we know this happened to other companies also with the same figures.
I finally got a Fives all thanks to @joshsquash729 thanks tons!
Speaking of heads - I think I realized who the angry Starkiller head looks like - he looks like Bilbo Possessed and grabbing for the Ring!
Also, I've never played the game but is that blood on his left arm or a tattoo?
He does not have a tattoo there. So odds are its blood. Although I don't ever remember any being in the game so, not sure why it's there. But maybe there was and I just don't remember it.Â
