Honestly with as many problems I have with the black series line I don't feel like this is one of them. The barebones figure comes with the standard amount of accessories any force users get, a lightsaber. If you want all the extra stuff you have the other option.
Agreed. It's a bummer, for sure, but that's why they offer the figure in the box set as well. If they included too much with the single release, those who bought the set would complain that they paid a bunch more for not much more exclusivity. Without something unique to the set itself- Starkiller's accessories, Paploo's speederbike, B2-EM0, etc., then there'd be no reason to buy the exclusive. I'm someone who rarely swaps heads on figures anyway, so I can live without the extra heads (they look a little rough anyway), and the Force Push hand seemed way too weighty. All I'd really want would be the sabers, and I know I have an extra blue one around here somewhere.
It's nice of Hasbro to put him out single carded so soon after the box set. It could've been a Paploo situation where it took years to release.

Eh, I ordered Starkiller with no fuss nor muss. Man, can he have any more belts?
I'm fine with this starkiller. Would have been easy for them to include an extra lightsaber but whatever. I'd rather get this than pay for the other set with two stormtroopers I don't need.Â

Forty-three years ago, I coined a saying in my family that my aunts and cousins still say, "You can never have too many Stormtroopers."

I preordered two Starkiller single release figures and I cancelled my Pulsecon Starkiller.Â

You can when you're out of space 🤣Â
Honestly, I sold off most of my Black Series years ago. It just wasn't high priority for me anymore, and it was like 80% Stormtroopers anyway. Now I'm only interested in video game figures. I will continue campaigning for more Jedi Fallen Order or Survivor figures and if they make more I will buy them without hesitation Â

So, the ANH Vader and The Mandalorian that went up for pre order are basically just rereleases right? Part of a best of/greatest hits line that aren't part of any wave, correct?
Yea man that new Mando looks like the other new Mando that isn't out yet. So... Ring World is the one I preordered. I was trying to see the differences between it and the new one. I don't see any. Unless I'm blind, which is possible. If there was literally anything better I would've canceled and ordered the new new one. But I don't see anything. Vader also looks pretty much the same, but he's hard to tell in pics.
And I knew they were gonna do that to Galen. Yea it sucks, but it's expected at this point. Honestly, most people would really only want the extra Saber blade anyway, the least they could've done was give us that. But I guess thats not happening. I probably have one somewhere I can use too. Or I can just make him one from my rods I use. I ordered 1. I may order a 2nd one just because he's probably like my 2nd or 3rd favorite star wars character. My top 5 is really hard to number from 1 to 5 cause I like them all as much as each other it seems. The order may even change with the day lol. And I do have 2 Revans, 1 in package, 1 out. But I don't double dip on this line much, Revan and generic Clones are it. Too expensive.
I also found a way to make the blades match each other better. I remember when I bought my lightsabers from Kyberlight I was watching videos on diffusing the blades, and Kyberlights didn't need to go this far, but some companies needed to have the blades sanded to help diffuse the light. So I decided to attempt it on Black Series blades. And it worked. The super clear ones that you can see the imperfections are the ones I don't like, the cloudy ones look better imo. So I used some really fine sandpaper that I use to smooth paint and plastic scratches and sanded all the super clear blades. Now they look cloudy like the rest, and they're still smooth because of how fine the sandpaper is. I really like how they turned out.
I will always make room for Stormtroopers. If I only have Boba Fett, Vader, and Stormtroopers, I can feel my collection is complete.
And the new Mando... I think is the same as the Ringworld one aside from no jetpack?
The Mando from the ring has a cloth cape and jetpack, the rerelease greatest hit has a plastic cape and no jetpack. I only have the ring one preordered. It is probably a good thing that these characters are getting rereleased / staying available. Hopefully Ahsoka and stormtrooper also get this "almost always available" so new collectors can always have a chance to get one.Â

But you have to allow that for many of us, the barebones nature of the force-user characters (and others) IS one of the biggest problems Black Series has. And Starkiller is just a much starker example because, unlike perhaps many other figures, we KNOW the parts are already tooled up and paint masks are already made for other accessories for him and Hasbro is just -choosing- not to include even one extra hand or lightsaber blade.
They don't want to tool (and all the other stuff that goes with that) some force-pushing hands for Luke Skywalker? I don't like it, but I get it. Fine. It's a lot of extra money that they wouldn't see a return on for quite a long time, potentially, since Luke will sell without those extras. But Starkillers extras -exist already-. They're just being cheap. We know toy companies are cheap, but I'd say most of us don't like them being quite so brazen about it.

They're just trying to trick us into buying a worse version of something we don't even have yet with Mando. Its odd, and snot mart. I'm all for keeping certain characters in circulation for people that missed them. But so close to a superior version that is also not out yet as is and can be preordered? And a worse version of? If I had missed all of the previous versions, I would still pay a slight bit more on the aftermarket to make sure I get the best version of it. I can't imagine he's going for insane amounts either.
I've still never gotten a beskar Din. And I think if I was going to, the one they just put up today would be the one because I don't really want the jetpack and I prefer plastic capes anyway.
But I keep re-deciding I just don't like the beskar version as much as the original, mixed/scavenged armor version.
I bet they'll also release a FU2 version with two blue sabers and the yelling head down the track. Hell, pack in the extra electricity hands and make it a deluxe and I wouldn't complain. There's absolutely no way I can justify the price of Pulsecon version (it's $200+ in Australia), but I'd like the elec hands and yelly head at some point. Do it, Hasbro, you money sucking monsters!
