My toy soldier Purge Trooper shipped from Pulse. Really excited to get that one, I think he looks fantastic. Heck, I'd probably take any of the clone/stormies as toy soldiers. What a fun, clever idea!

Tempted to grab a couple Magnaguards from GameStop. They keep popping in and out of stock. I've heard all the complaints, but I've been wanting them for a long while- Grievous is lonely without them. This is one I actually hope we see get a repaint or 2- I love the darker blue looks for them.

It's nice seeing everyone else start to get their Clone Wars and Ahsoka part 2 waves. Hopefully my Amazon order won't take too much longer. I've been getting more surprise ships from them lately, with no prior warning of "hey, X item is shipping soon). Not that I mind at all, but the all-at-once drops can be killer sometimes.

Single release Starkiller has been revealed. Kinda stinks that he's missing a blue saber, but I'm sure I have an extra around here somewhere; surely Grievous would let me borrow his. Also, the post makes it seem like this will be a widely available mainline figure, not exclusive to GameStop like many Gaming Greats.

Glad he's coming soon -- I was hoping I didn't have to wait too long since I didn't go for the exclusive pulsecon set

@joshsquash729

Malgus was a gaming great as well, wasn't he? So maybe that's the new trend.

But thank you for posting that! I held out for this and am not disappointed.

Apparently Starkiller goes up tomorrow along with a Din from the mines of Mandalore and an ANH Vader.

Greef's astromech looks pretty good! I'd forgotten it was revealed as a pipeline a while ago. Wouldn't say it's a must-have, but I'm all for some more in-scale astromechs, especially with the new head design. I'll try and snag it, but I won't be too bent out of shape if I miss it. I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty re-use of the new astromech body, and that's fine with me.

That Starkiller is kind've everything wrong with SWB right now in a nutshell, isn't it? They already HAVE all the parts to add a bit more value to that package. The whole figure is re-use, so it's not like this is costing them much to make. There's no reason they can't do it. Just, you know, one more lightsaber or one extra set of hands. And they just won't do it.

Anyway..  EB Games had a bunch of the new RotJ wave. No R2s, damn it all. But I grabbed the new Luke. Really nice figure. I was worried the chest piece wouldn't stay in place, but it seems to be holding very well. Even with a narrow chest and butterfly joints, I'm still not seeing the ROM I'd really -like- to see in a modern 6" figure for sword poses, but it's good. Just.. not -great-. At least he's got the correct wrist hinges.

Looks great in front of some of my other RotJ figures. And even with my complaining, he does hit a few really nice two-handed poses with the saber, which is great. I'm hoping eventually they'll do a new Bespin Luke with some really nice deep butterfly joints cut into his jacket so we can finally hit some of those great stances from that scene.

Edit: Also.. I'm confused. The Mando pre-order just went up but wasn't that figure shown already a long time ago.. with a fabric cape? Is this the same figure and they've just decided to actively make it worse before soliciting it? Or is this a totally different but looks exactly the same Mando?

I am genuinely baffled that the retail Starkiller is so barebones. I wasn't expecting EVERYTHING from the exclusive, but like, none of the extra hands at least? Would it really cost that much when the molds already exist? That's annoying.

Still, the faceprint looks improved overall so I'm glad I decided to wait.

That Starkiller is exactly why I opted for the 3 pack version. I knew it would be a barebones release. The new Mando is confusing as well. Why release a worse version of a figure so close to a superior version instead of just making more of the better one? Is a good value really that much of an issue for the bean counters?

Honestly with as many problems I have with the black series line I don't feel like this is one of them. The barebones figure comes with the standard amount of accessories any force users get, a lightsaber. If you want all the extra stuff you have the other option.
