I ordered Malgus. I decided he may be an exception to all the deluxes that go on sale or clearance, and I didn't wanna take that chance with him. He'll be here next week. Pretty stoked for him now lol.

Just pulled the trigger on the Cobb Vanth & Cad Bane 2pack. I realized I wanted it when I stopped seeing it in Target and regretted not grabbing it while I could. It's in Target's ebay store for $31.44 (the listing says $36.99, but another 15% discount is applied automatically when you check out). I'm very happy with this set at that price.

Yeah, I saw your link yesterday and clicked but Target was sold out. However this morning they have a few in stock. I didn't know if it would be back in stock so I went with another seller for $39.99 and free shipping. It's still a great price considering the original price it was listed for.

Check the seller's other items though. They keep listing more beyond that link, and actually they have more listed from the specific link as well. If you really want it, keep checking. And make an offer! If you look at the history of what their stuff has sold for, they'll go even cheaper.

@nanigans Thanks for verifying. I actually re-organized my troopers last night and found I only have one Imperial Guard, so I'm not too annoyed at myself for buying a repeat - they'll look good on either side of the Emperor if I ever get that set up properly.

I didn't even know this guy was out yet. He's very cool. I love the colors and the boots. I wish they'd re-engineered him a little bit for some extra poseability versus the Jabiim version. The wrists are basically just swivels, for instance. The lightsaber is still a struggle because of the bunched up sleeves under the hands... regular Jedi stuff that Hasbro should have figured out by now.

But he looks really nice. And again.. totally took me by surprise to see him in the wild since I thought he was still a ways off from release.

Someone tried to sell a packaged Ki-Adi-Mundi on an auction site, and Yakface reported it.  He looks pretty great.

I got a soft spot for that conehead, so I'm looking forward to getting him. He's probably the last prequel Jedi I'd need, having gotten Windu, Fisto, Koon, and Secura. I might be tempted by a Saesee Tinn or an Adi Gallia or Luminara Unduli or Shaak Ti. The latter two have design challenges though, with their billowing skirts/robes.

Barriss will be my last Jedi. I don't even know if they'll make her, or if I'm the only one who wants her, but I do. I read a book where she and Luminara were a big focus on a mission with Anakin and Kenobi (Windu references it in the beginning of AOTC) and that sold me on her, even though she had less screen time in the movie than Boba Fett in ROTJ.

I liked all their designs when I first saw them. And then seeing more about most of them in the CW show, makes me want them more. I'll take all the prequel Jedi they give us. Even Coleman Trebor in all his dying in 2 seconds glory lol.  Ki Adi looks interesting. I'm not sure what I expected but I guess it's accurate. I'll definitely be getting him.

Lots of stuff came in. Chopper, Ezra, Malgus, 3rd Sister, and Marrok. I'm annoyed by some decisions. But I'll get into that.

So Ezra is cool. A bit basic but it's supposed to be. He looks pretty good for the 2 seconds you see him in this outfit in live action. The one from later in the season better come with his new lightsaber. That's the one I really want. I like his beard and new Saber, the way he made it. The face doesn't bother me as much in person. It definitely looks better then the pics. I just wish him and Sabine would stay standing. No matter how I pose either of them, they kinda want to nosedive.

While I feel like Chopper didn't warrant the $25 price tag, it's better then paying aftermarket for the first release. And I actually quite love this figure. He's so small but he's got so much personality. And he's got all these little bells and whistles. Like his little fold out hands, and the front arm that comes out, and the rocket leg that switches with the wheel leg. And he does come with some little extras like the alt left leg and the rocket effect, but I could've lived without the latter for a price decrease. He has some little grey pieces in the front that look like they may do something but it doesn't seem like they do. Honestly though he may be my favorite of the 5.

Marrok has new wrists. He has Bandai style wrists, where he has a ball joint the hand is attached to, and that's how it swivels and bends. I'm not sure if I like it or not. They're ugly on Bandai figures, but they're well hidden here. I'll have to mess with it more and see how well it poses. He also looks a bit bright compared to his on screen appearance. It's not bad, just looks different. And his lightsaber shares the same issues as some of the other Inquisitors. It has a peg sticking right out in the middle to limit his ability to hold it, yea it makes it attach to his back, but there are other ways to do that. It's also somewhat rubbery, so it bends too easy. The blade is clear red, where as most of the other red blades look misty. I wish they would be consistent, with their colors and style. And the clear looking ones make it easier to see any imperfections or deformities in the plastic. The cloth cape is cool but it floats too much, it doesn't really attach. Not a huge deal, but slightly annoying. I may try to dab some glue on it and hold it in place, but don't like what super glue does to cloth so I may figure out something else. I also like his armor. It looks nifty. I just wish the character were done a bit different, or explained better, in the show.

Malgus is a big dude. He definitely warranted the deluxe price at this size. I didn't remember him being this big, but I never played the game. I've just seen alot of the cutscenes and artwork. His lightsaber is even huge. The hilt and the blade are both bigger then normal. Also not misty red, more of a clear red. His mask comes off, which is cool, but it doesn't like to stay on his face well. Luckily his ugly face is also a rhing of beauty, really well done. The cape is nice, I like how it's attached. Makes it better for posing so it's not free floating. He's a bit confusing on his torso though. He has 2 swivel ball joints in his stomach. Why? It makes no sense, they both do the same exact thing. The bottom one on mine broke. It was extremely loose so I tried taking it apart to tighten it and the peg snapped. So I just glued the whole thing together. It doesn't lose any posability that I can see, and hey, at least it's not loose anymore. I feel like if I got it replaced I may just end up breaking it again anyway. I prefer it with just the 1 joint. His right knee pin also feels like it has too much give compared to the left, so I'll have to be careful when posing that knee. And if anyone warranted having double knees, it would be this guy. The way these knees are I feel the pegs are gonna break over time or with too much stress. No bueno.

3rd Sister is probably my favorite Inquisitor. Not sure why, I think maybe it's her design. She looks really cool, pretty accurate to the show. One of her head tails is longer then the other one, I noticed it when I was messing with her. Not sure if that's normal or I got a defect. Her skirt limits her posability, but I like her silhouette the way she is. Honestly her hole body is really nice, besides the stupid knees, that I will get into later. Her lightsaber isn't as intrusive as some Inquisitor sabers. Her pins are small and spread out. But the blades are misty, not clear like the other 2 on this list. Again, wish they were more consistent with this. I think I prefer the misty looking ones, for the reason I stated above about the clear ones showing the deformities in the plastic more, like scratches or chips. I am legitimately considering getting a second one to try and maybe make some sort of custom out of it. I have a few ideas, but nothing solid, and I would have to wait for a sale. At this price nowadays, extras are not feasible for most figures.

So here we will get to my annoyance. Marrok and Malgus both have one of the same issues Sabine and Cad Bane do. No thigh swivel. It's odd, and annoying. I'm used to having that joint, and it's just not there, limiting what I can do with them  Now, I did some thinking, and honestly, the human body really doesn't move like that, I guess (at least mine doesn't). So I'm thinking maybe they were trying to be more accurate to anatomy. But then they have that stupid knee swivel which makes absolutely no sense. Is it supposed to replace the boot swivel that they barely ever used in this line anyway? It looks awkward, so theres no point in using it. So its probably just a cost cutting thing. Now, Cad Bane doesn't seem to have this, but Marrok, Sabine, and Malgus, have this cone shape on the inside of their thighs to make it so they have some swivel, so it helps a little, but it's still not the same. And everything has fuckin single knees. Not one of these is double. I do not like this trend, but odds are this is going to be the new normal. No thigh swivel, single knees, and they move stupid and awkward. I miss the older articulation. Some figures it's fine, cause they don't need awesome poses anyway, some just stand stoically. But the Jedi characters, people with agility, I absolutely noticed the difference between Aayla/Mara/Bastilla and the new single knee figures. The new knees are more limited, easier to break, and they don't look as good as Hasbro thinks they do, imo. I'm honestly thinking about gluing all my single knees in place so they don't swivel anymore just so they're harder to break. Malgus is the perfect example. He's a big beefy dude with big beefy knees, and these stupid little pegs trying to hold everything together. I honestly am scared he's gonna break when I try to move his knee. That should not be an issue. This dude, with double knees would be an A+. As is he's a B. And for most of these figures, the single knee with swivel is taking them all down a grade. Even if they just had the single knees I think I would be slightly more ok with it. But this swivel thing makes them all weaker and feel like they're gonna break. About the only ones I have I'm not worried about are Ahsoka and Boba, because they feel solid. But even going back to the Bo Katan mold, and the new Clone Troopers, it feels fragile. And to me seems all but useless anyway cause it looks ridiculous if you have it anywhere but straight like a human leg actually looks. The Clone Troopers look even worse with the way they did their knee pads. Just baffling design decisions.

So all in all, they're all pretty decent, to good. Except Chopper, he's the standout, and was my least anticipated. Funny how that works.

Ki Adi Mundi looks really good.  My most anticipated figure for Star Wars at the time.  I hope he goes up for pre order soon.  Maybe on the Hasbro event the 27th.

I wish Hasbro would start making more prequel Jedi.  I want them.......... ALL OF THEM.

Sorry, ya'll- rough couple days with some family drama, but I haven't forgotten about my extra Fives. If anyone who wants a chance at him didn't already let me know, let me know and I'll pick someone in a day or two.

So glad to see Ki-Adi wasn't forgotten about! And happy that he looks pretty much ready to go- I'd hope as much, given how much time has passed since he was unveiled.

He is in the wave Hasbro said wasn't going up for preorder, for whatever dumb reason. So I think he's just gonna start popping up in stores. I honestly don't remember who else is supposed to be in that wave also. I just remember them saying it wasn't going up for preorder. And people weren't happy.
