Went to a Walmart to buy my kid's friend a birthday present and Fives was out on an aisle shipper display.

Is there much of a reason to want this guy for pure display purposes if you've already got Echo?  They're virtually identical.  Coincidentally I recently started Season 6 of the Clone Wars and I'm seeing Fives in those episodes, but meh, I lose track of which clone is which.  😯

*gasp* Clones that look nearly identical to each other?!?! That's a bunch of repackaged crap!

Anybody own the Endor Han and Leia from a few years ago and the new 40th Anniversary versions? I've heard on some reviews the face painting on Han was different (less red) and Leia had a better sculpt or better painting as well? I have the older versions but would probably buy the new ones if they are actually improved. For some reason also I can't really find any good photos of both the older and newer figures side to side either to compare better.

Exclusive:

Han Solo Heroes Of Endor 4-Pack Star Wars The Black Series 6"

Galaxy:

Han Solo Return Of The Jedi Star Wars The Black Series 6"

40th:

Han Solo Endor Star Wars The Black Series 6"

Exclusive:

Princess Leia Organa Heroes Of Endor 4-Pack Star Wars The Black Series 6"

Galaxy:

Princess Leia Organa Return Of The Jedi Star Wars The Black Series 6"

40th:

Princess Leia Organa Endor Star Wars The Black Series 6"

Personally, I'd take Exclusive Han and either Exclusive or Galaxy Leia. I did pick up the Exclusive because for a long time it was the only way to get Paploo, but I also have the Galaxy versions for...some reason? I probably bought them before the Exclusive pack.

They released almost all the Ahsoka figures a couple months early. Marrok coming soon when he's slated for a month or 2 away is kinda cook. Cept I shipped my loot already thinking nothing was coming this month. So I may be waiting till November or later for him/her/it anyway.

I loved Ahsoka for many reasons. But I also loved Rebels and Clone Wars. This literally feels like a live action continuation of that. Plus I'm a fan of all the known actors in the series. I wasn't confused by most of the show, cause I watched the previous ones. There wasn't much that was hard to figure out otherwise. Marrok was the only let down.

Someone tell me how to do spoiler tags please? Lol

What's "Galaxy" refer to? Am I blanking?

Received RotJ Artoo this weekend. It's in every way superior to the original release. Like the original, it has panels on the dome that can be removed for his sensorscope and radar to be plugged in. The panels are not easy to remove.

It also has panels on the chest that open with three ports each for his gizmo arms. These are also not easy to open, but easier than the dome panels.

Its third leg needs to be pulled out, rather than activated by rotating the dome. This is also not that easy to pull out! What IS easy to pull out is the dome, which extends his body the same way it extended in the Phantom Menace for him to navigate in the Naboo Starfighter.

But within that space are slots onto which his attachments can all be clipped in and stored when not in use! Awesome.

But really, the best thing about him is the updated scale, which is finally more accurate. Compared to the Bandai model kit, which I consider the perfect Artoo, it's nearly the exact same size and proportion. Even has similar features of opening panels, six ports, etc. But that one is fragile as hell, and this one is like a rock. Durable the way Astromechs are built! I love this figure, but I really don't want to cough up $25 apiece to upgrade all of my existing Astromech droids. I might just leave them alone and keep this one separate from the display. It may be new toy smell clouding my judgement, but I think this might be the best Astromech mold available now.

Galaxy is the packaging that makes up the murals on the sides of the box.

And yeah, that R2 is near perfection visually. A little fiddly, but it looks so good it makes up for it. I still think the ultimate 1/12 R2 is the SHF due to the paint, but with the Black Series one being easily available and one-third the price, it’s really a no-brainer unless you’re an R2 super-fan. Plus the Black Series one has way more accessories. Check out my comparison pics a few pages back.

Got Darth Malgus today. As nice as he is, Hasbro are extracting the absolute urine on this being a deluxe. And this is after I got BOBF Black Krrsantan last week. It does feel like the extra price doesn't equate to getting much more than a regular figure. Something extra could surely be included.

Malgus is deluxe compared to some of the more standard figures like Sabine from the Ahsoka show. He is big. He has soft goods. It’s a good value. Extra hands for force pushes or sone more paint apps would make it a great value.

Man I wish the blue was closer to the other 501st on Appo. Such a fun figure but he looks like a maverick with the other 501st. Please Hasbro. Please make as many cool repaints as you can on the new body. Please 104th. Please.

Black Series isn’t the cream of the Hasbro figure lines but dang it’s been pretty good lately. I’m also giddy the holiday figures are starting to show up. They just make me happy. Appo, Duels-End, Malgus, Ezra,  BK, Doc, etc… Been sone good stuff this year.

Thwipp!

If I had a Chewie in my Endor display, I’d use the ESB one that came with the dismembered Threepio. Similar hairstyle.

Just got charged for TCW Ahsoka on bbts! I am excited for her! I hope the Clone Trooper doesn't charge until next payday though. 😬

Maybe it's because the deluxe price in Australia for Black Series is $65, whereas regular releases are around the $40 mark. It's a BIG markup when you compare him to recent releases like Darth Malak, Darth Vader, Chewbacca. To me, he's one of those that has to be more expensive because he is bigger, but not enough included to justify the bigger markup pricepoint. As you say, extra hands would make the value seem reasonable.

I use the 40th anniversary TESB Chewbacca for my ROTJ Endor display. It's the same version as the one that came with 3PO, just without 3PO. 😛

Look at Wrecker from Bad Batch. His Season 1 figure is priced as a deluxe, but then Season 2 is the regular price like the rest of the group, and he had the same amount of accessories as the first one. It seems like it’s entirely arbitrary what they decide to set the price at.
