Got my first few Magna Guards in, and damn they are pretty spectacular. The only downside is their plastic is similar to Grievous so it's softer, but that also means they won't be prone to easy breakage with all their thin intricate limbs. I just pre-ordered them and paid no attention to the articulation or what they came with, but the two staves are a treat, and when posing I was pretty blown away by the level of articulation they got into this (Same with Grievious, that's a damn good figure despite gumminess). They even have little wrist joints which I absolutely did not expect. Their capes are also done so well for Hasbro soft goods, and they way Hasbro stitched them makes them sit perfectly.
They really hit it out of the park and I'm happy to get some formidable droids to go up against the Jedi. Now I just need Shaak Ti to recreate that incredible Clone Wars sequence. (all still canon to me!)
Duel's End Vader is STILL up for shipping at Target.com. Everyone better get him now because he'll probably sell out today or at some point during the weekend.
So we will probably see Ahsoka the white in 2025?
I was lukewarm on Duels End Vader. In hand it is definitely a luxury. I don’t really care about the actual dual in Obi Wan show. The set up to it was very awkward. But having a Vader figure all bashed up is just fun as a Vader who was probably constantly challenged by his master, usurpers, I think of that comic a few years back of Vader crash landing and the Rebel Alliance surrounding him: “Surrounded by fear and dead men.” Many more years previous Vader fought Maul. Funny thing is after that comics timeline Vader could have fought Maul and not just been a Force magic encounter. “My hate for myself is greater” or something like that.
This Vader action Figure embodies those encounters the best. It’s a luxury to have.
Thwipp!
Placed an order on GameStop yesterday for a few Black Series- Ezra, ROTJ R2, and the Jedi FO Clone and Survivor K2 droid since they were on clearance (along with the Merrin Funko Pop to put it over the free shipping threshhold- who knows if we'll ever get Merrin?). Ezra already shipped, which is nice. I only had Morgan when the show was still airing, but even that feels crazy to say. It wasn't perfect- most people are still waiting for some/all their figures, but I do have to give credit to Hasbro for at least trying to get some Ahsoka figures out while the show is still airing.
Speaking of Ezra, there's another Holo figure that would make sense. If it wouldn't boost the price another $10+, I'd say it might be cool to get little sound snippets into the puck as well. It's a tricky gimmick, though, and one that doesn't always last too long.
@joshsquash729 Right, in fact that figure makes more sense to ONLY be a holo figure.
I think Ezra would have made the most sense in this too, along with Palpatine. I'm completely over Hasbro's exclusive gimmicky Star Wars figures though so I would still pass, but I totally agree with you guys.
Welp, placed another store pickup order for Fives, since he popped in stock at a store just across the river in Jersey. Said they had 4 in stock, but of course I got the cancellation email this morning. They tried substituting it with one of the 12 inch electronic Vaders that flood the shelves any time I go out. I appreciate the thought, but nah.
That was order #9. Let's see how high I can get!
I got Sabine, Ezra, HK-87, and Chopper (though he is on the way) from the new wave. Already had Ahsoka from Mando, I will wait for Ahsoka the White. Excited for Morgan to arrive! With Marrok, Baylon, Shin, Hera, and presumably others from the Ahsoka show, I am very happy we have gotten such a great assortment of characters. I know I am greedy but I still really want a new Morgan, Ahsoka the White, Thrawn, and Ezra, as well as the Night Sisters. TBH there are so many great figures from this series.
To talk about what is out though, I love Sabine, that figure is amazing. And Ezra in his S4 Rebels look is exciting for me. I wish they had tried to sculpt it more like a younger Eman Esfandi. I follow him on insta, his younger self looks soooo much like younger Ezra. Still, this is a dream figure I never thought we would get.
Did the windowless packaging skip a wave? The Ahsoka Padawan wave is still PFP, right, but Ahsoka show is windows?
Merrock really ended up being a dud of a choice, huh? And the Assassin Droid.

Disney is shuffling showtimes around so much I'd assume it's related to that--Disney delays a show so Hasbro has to delay releases.
Target's online inventory for Duel's End Vader is flat-out wrong. Last Sunday all of my local stores showed him in stock, but by the next day it showed them as all sold out. Went to two Targets today and both had 4 or 5 of him on the pegs despite the Target web site claiming both stores were out of stock.
That happens a LOT these days. According the target.com the Mattel Hammond Collection Brachiosaurus isn't in any stores anywhere, but ALL of my local stores have 2 to 4 of it on the shelves.
Well, 10th time's the charm for me and Fives! What a saga it all ended up being.
Noticed that he was available for pickup at the Wal-Mart near where my mom lives, so I placed an order for pickup. Right as I did, he popped in stock for shipping, so I placed an order there too for the inevitable cancellation for the pickup order. But lo and behold I got the notice that the pickup order was ready, and the sweet, nerdy woman she is, my mom even opened the box to confirm it was the right one. Obviously I don't know if the shipping order will really ship, and if it does, if it's the right thing (it said there was only around 5 in stock available for shipping, which strikes me as odd- maybe they were swap returns?) But I might keep the order for now, and if it arrives and is the correct item, see if anyone here needs it. The least I can do is help someone out after all the drama I went through. So happy, and so relieved to finally have the whole wave taken care of!
Glad you finally got one - *high Fives*!
Target in store - I think the issue with the inconsistency is that if someone orders one for in-store pickup and the employee can't/won't find it for whatever reason, they mark it as unavailable - which I think may actually trick the system into thinking they don't have any. And it will take a few days or a new shipment to recover. My Target couldn't find the new not!Deluxe Luke and he wasn't listed as available but I saw five on the pegs and now he's listed as available again. Some kind of system reboot issue, probably.
I should have rushed to the store when i saw three available for pick up, instead i tried placing pick up orders several times. Now they are all gone, sigh.
Does pick up work with figures?! I tend to not trust people enough to have even tried that.
