I can’t wait to buy a Pong Krell so I can bash it with a hammer into tiny bits. I really dislike that character.

Thwipp!

Quick question for you black series experts: are the figures from the Skeleton Crew show being distributed to brick-and-mortar stores, or do I need to place an online order?

I just finished watching the show and realized I need that sexy Brutus figure.

@feces-flinger

I have heard people say they have picked the Skeleton Crew figures up at Wal-Mart and Target.  So, the opportunity is there to find them at retail. But how are the stores in your area?  Are they backed up with Acolyte figures and the A List Vader and Mando figures?  Do your local stores have space to put them out?

Because if not, it may be a while.  Then again, the way the Black Series line is selling, especially things from the newer Disney era, you will probably be able to find the Skeleton Crew figures at Ollies for $10 in 5 to 6 months. But that is a gamble.

And Brutus is the most sought after of the bunch.  It's a great figure.  So, I recommend ordering it if you really want it, just to be sure. But if it's not something you must have and you're willing to gamble at the risk you may not find one and play the waiting game, I'd say at least you may find it at retail, but you may also end up getting him cheaper than retail cost.

Pong Krell was a raging ass clown.  Such a prick.  There are so many ways I want to kill him with my other figures.  He's going to be murdered in LARGE AMOUNTS.

@grumpymatt What I'm most curious about is where the heck this is? I don't think I've ever seen any of my local Targets, whether here in NY or back home in KS, get that many Black Series. Heck, even if you add up the total amount of all BS figures at all the stores I visit combined it wouldn't equal that much. I think the most I've probably ever seen at a single store is maybe 12 or so figures, and that's around the holidays right after they restocked the shelves. That's crazy!

@feces-flinger I've seen them at Wal-Mart and GameStop, personally, but nothing at Target. When I visited the Midwest for the holidays, Wal-Mart was stocked with fresh cases of Skeleton Crew figures and nothing else. I'd say you could probably still find them easily enough, depending on how many you have near you and how much time you have, but it all depends, especially for someone like Brutus, who's arguably the star of the wave.

Now that I think about it, Black Series distribution has been pretty weird for me lately. Like I said, I've only seen Skeleton Crew at Wal-Mart and GameStop, nothing at Target. Acolyte I found at Target and GameStop, nothing at Wal-Mart. The Vader and Mando evergreen figures are all I ever seem to find anymore at Wal-Mart and Target, but never at GameStop. And aside from store exclusives, I don't think I remember seeing either the Acolyte or Skeleton Crew waves on Wal-Mart or Target's website (Target especially doesn't seem to be too good with updating their Black Series offerings online, save a store exclusive here and there). I can't remember the last wave/figure that could be found at all 3 around me.

I don't know what came over me but I went to my second-closest Target on a whim and came across one New Hope Luke and one New Hope Leia and bought them even though I purged the vast majority of BS figures last year.  I must really be hurting for some OT action.  They both look good enough, not amazing, but probably the best BS efforts for both iterations of those characters so far.  They smartly molded Luke's shirt this time around instead of doing the soft goods that just did not work at all.  The likeness is OK but not perfect.  Same with Leia.  I don't know.  If my will is strong I will return them along with a couple of McFarlane Batmans I picked up recently.  How many times do I need to rebuy these same characters?

I know what you mean Super Camel. There are some characters I dispise so much they’re distasteful as a fictional character. It’s crazy. Pong Krell is the worst. I don’t wish to own a figure of him. I will probably just gag and walk on by if seen in wild.

Thwipp!

Pong Krell sucks.  One of the worst characters ever.  If I was younger, he would have been one of the few characters I would have blown up with firecrakers.  Loathe him!

A YouTuber called Lukenessmonster just posted a single-source rumor list. He says "grain of salt" so many times, but I hope they're solid rumors because they include Carson Teva. He's one of my favorite newer characters, and I couldn't figure out why he hadn't gotten a figure yet.

Oddball is also on the list for the RotJ anniversary wave, and I guess I have a thing for pilots. He was on my prequels wishlist before I even actually started buying Black Series.

Looking forward to those, and excited that BS has entered this new foundational wave with upcoming main character releases.

I was most excited out of those rumored reveals for the Jedi Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin.  Two very important Jedi, and both from the office dual with Palpatine.

What I'm most curious about is where the heck this is?

It's a mistake to try to make sense out of ANYTHING Target does over the past two years because anomalies are almost always due to random mismanagement, but I do have a guess.  I've seen items I've bought online shipped from specific Targets before on multiple occasions, and I often wondered if those were stores that doubled as some sort of a warehouse either because they had a huge back room or because there was a building nearby that they stored inventory in.  My guess with the store in the pic is it's one of those warehouse hubs close to or in a store.

According to some rumors, from now until sometime in 2026 we are likely to get

Darth Sion
Darth Treya
Cere Junda
Greez
Cal Kestis (possibly in his "Scoundrel" attire)
Starkiller from Force Unleashed 2
Galactic Marine (from ROTS to go with Comm. Bacara)
Empire Strikes Back Han Solo
ROTS Yoda
ROTS Gree
Boba Fett from Book of Boba Fett
Young Leia from Kenobi
Corporal Echo from Clone Wars
Clone Trooper Hardcase from Clone Wars

Then for the Force Awakens Anniversary, updated versions of

Rey
Kylo Ren
Poe Dameron
Finn

I want all of that, but I am so excited about Darth Sion and Darth Treya from KotOR II

I am happy and sad for Hardcase. Its cool they're doing more clones. But I bought a Hardcase off aliexpress not long ago so I kinda have him lol. But hopefully this one will come with a non helmeted head. And then I can use the other one and paint him something else.

And all the KotoR and TFU love I will absolutely take. And honestly, for kid Leia they could've done a 2 pack, and given us Luke too. But they won't do that for the same price as a regular figure. I mean, alot of people pay full price for ewoks and Yoda.

I'd have to see the new anniversary figures of the TFA figures, but if I had to guess they will probably be more like Archive figures like the other anniversary lines. Maybe new face printing, or heads in general. But I doubt we'll get anything extremely new. Probably the old bodies.

Everything else aside, I thought the cast and characters of the sequel trilogy were great and I'm glad there are plans to update their figures. I'm definitely interested in those.
