I got the Yoda/Gree set already as well. That almost felt like an overnight shipment.

Yoda is great. I love both expressions, but I'm keeping him grinning on the council chair. That walking stick seems smaller than one they'd use for 1:18, I nearly tossed it. I was never big on Yoda wielding a lightsaber, but I'm surprised there isn't a peg/hole to store the hilt on him. I just tucked it into the back of his robe.

All this prequel love, and I have such a limited display space for them that is quickly filling up.

I guess, according to yakface, Coruscant Guard Luke and Boushh are also being released for SOTE. I'm surprised at no Snoova. And didn't Lando disguise himself as a Coruscant Guard too? Come on, he never even had a Kenner figure.

Could you guys clarify something for me?

Was the rumored upcoming  Commander Cody the recent re-release, or a new, future release?  I don't follow Black Series news that closely, but I am interested in Cody and some 212th troopers if they still exist.

I think retailers have made Hasbro sign legal documents promising they will not release anymore Lando figures.

Anyway, it was easy enough back in the day to pop a Lando head on an extra Luke Coruscant Guard.

@fletch So, there was a somewhat recent re-release in the Archive line, which was the same as the old figure, just (I think) some touched up paint apps. Then there's the upcoming ROTS Anniversary wave that seems to feature Cody on the new clone body, which has much better articulation than the previous one. He also comes with the little Sidious hologram. I don't think we know the full anniversary wave yet, but we do know that Cody is a WalMart exclusive. As of writing this, he's still available for pre-order, with a summer 2025 release. If you haven't gotten a Cody yet, I'd recommend just waiting for that one, as it'll be a better figure all around.

As for the 212th, there was a figure released a couple years ago. I forget if it was exclusive to anywhere specific, but he seems to be somewhat affordable online. Otherwise, there was a 13th Battalion trooper from Fallen Order that seems to always be on pretty heavy discount. Obviously not the same, but he's cheap, and fudgable if you're not picky, or I assume could be easily customized if you are.

And a painted head under the helmet.

Ha!

And you're right. I think that was actually my very first custom figure. Back when figures were $5.

That's a very good point. It was much more palatable to pick up two figures to combine into one back then.

@grumpymatt right? When I got some money for my birthday one year, I stocked up and had nine gamorrean guards. $45 now gets you almost two figures! Heh.

I'm not really getting on a full "in my day" thing, but I do think about that when I consider custom figures sometimes. Then I see the parts will total at least $75 and decide to just see if Hasbro gets around to that one.

The 212 was a Walgreens exclusive. I was kicking myself for never finding one. Then I bought one off ebay for the same as it was retail price. For a Walgreens exclusive, that's pretty cool. The fallen order clone is a totally different shade and design for the color. I don't think its fudgeable, but that's me lol.

Looks like the next 2 pack in Clones of the Republic is Obi-Wan and the 212th! Speak of the Devil!

Hard to tell if the 212th is on the new Clone body or not; kinda looks like it isn't, but it can be hard to tell in packaging. Obi-Wan is great, but I was lucky enough to snag him before; he's still one of my favorite Obi-Wans. I'm tempted to pick this one up to make that custom/kitbash CW Plo Koon, but I know as soon as I do they'll release an official one. I'll probably skip this one ultimately, but I hope it's easier for folks to get than the last 2 CotR packs

Thats the new clone chest. V3 as it were. You can tell by the chest armor overlay being molded crooked. It's like that on *every single fucking V3* clone body. it's an OCD nightmare. The left pectoral, your right, is slightly higher then the other side. The back is also higher on that side. Its a rubbery overlay on a soft body instead of one solid piece. Why they changed it I have no idea. The V2 was the best clone chest they made. Its also less shiny, probably because of the plastic they use. Here's 2 comparison shots I took.

Obi Wan looks exactly like the last one to me, maybe a more realistic head? So that's cool for people who missed him. I have both these now though, so I will be skipping. But, a Plo Koon in this style I would definitely buy.

Both timely AND aggravating.  That's not an Obi-Wan I'm interested in, and I certainly wouldn't want to buy doubles to get the two troopers I was thinking of.

I hate that I missed the Obi Wan/Clone pack today on Pulse.  I had no idea this was going up.  I should have known, aren't they revealing different pieces of Star Wars merch like every Tuesday through January or something?

I mean, I have the original Walgreens Clone armor Kenobi and 212th, but I still would have got this.
