My Baylan with Cloak shipped from Wal-Mart.  I already have Baylan and Shin, but I still ordered the two that now come with cloaks from Wal-Mart and Target.

I think Shin with cloak will ship from Target in a couple days.

I saw IG-12 and Grogu in person today at Wal-Mart.  And between how cool it looked in person and all the high praise here on The Fwoosh, I picked it up.  Such a cool, fun toy.  I love anything with Grogu, but this droid is awesome.

He is a thick, well-built IG unit. Then you get Grogu and some Anzellan mechanics.

An awesome set.

Got Baylan today. Okay, we definitely got Hasbro'd by releasing the same figure with a cloak, but it's one of the best soft-goods cloaks they've done so far, cool bit of piping on the hood and such. Cloaked Shin is en route from Target, too, should be here over the weekend some time. I really do love these two characters too much given how mcuh screen time they got.

Pulse just updated Yoda and Gree for December 15th shipping. Kind of ok with the delay, it's been a ROUGH month with preorders.

I got a 2nd Privateer today cause of the target sale. I was gonna paint it some different color but I found a new plan for it.

I'm gonna keep them like that, but I am gonna paint a nice silver line down the side of the one helmet to match the scar. I thought it was a nifty idea. I'll end up doing the painting sometimes soon I hope. I like the body but painting the whole thing could be a chore and this struck me as minor genius.

I also got IG 12 and Grogu but I haven't opened it yet. Looks cool in package.

And I just checked my Baylan order, and it says delayed. That's it. Just delayed. Check back later. Fml. Probably gonna have to find him in store. Thanks walmart for preauthing my card for months and then probably canceling anyway. Le sigh.

Is Baylan the exact same (short) figure as the previous release? I couldn’t find that one when I finally wanted it, but this preorder was available. I assumed they fixed that height issue.

Same figure, just has a cloak. Not sure if they even fixed the lightsaber color.

They did ship mine now, so that's good. Not sure what the delay was but he's on the way and they charged me so I'm feeling better about it.

Ah, thanks. So I'm guessing the Shin Hati at Target is the same figure as the previous one as well, just with a cloak?

@normdapito

Yep. Same figure just with a cloak.

Yet, I still ordered these even though I have the figures that didn't have cloaks.  I wanted the cloaks, and I even wanted an extra Baylan Skoll.  Because who knows if we will ever get a figure of the character again as portrayed by Ray Stevenson.

But both Baylan from Wal-Mart and Shin from Target are on the way to me.  I love getting saber wielders/Force users the most.  So, I'm excited about these.

From promo shots they didn't fix Shins saber color either, even though the first release had a running change with orange. But I didn't order her cause she's the same wrong height figure we got. I fixed mine with some donated legs and i gave her an extra cape i had that looks pretty spot on to the one she wears, so I don't wanna do that a second time. I won't know what saber color they actually give her till I see reviews or pics of her in hand.

I opened IG 12 and Grogu. This IG mold is really nice. It's not perfect, the feet are a little wonky with how they have those tiny pins going into them. That'll probably break at some point and I'll have to figure a fix. But otherwise the figure is really cool. I even like how the chest opens so you can put the little guys inside easier. And it has little holes under the armpits for Grogus ears to go. I really hope they do a new IG 11 and IG 88 with these improvements. Especially since the thing can actually stand lol. The only foreseeable flaw with that though, is that these IG hands don't look like they'll be able to hold anything. So they may have to give it new hands for the other 2, or find a way to attach the guns somehow.

Opened Captain Enoch and the Night Trooper just now. It's been a LONG time since I've been really drawn in by a trooper design, but man, they did not cheap out on these. The kintsugi style repairs on the armor are sculpted in! I like that Enoch has a sidearm that is either new or hasn't been used much (I don't immediately recognize it).

Props to the costume design for Ahsoka. Who knows when or if we'll ever find out what really lies under that armor, but they did a great job doing something new and unique with these troopers.

Are the latest Cassian Andor and Kay Tuesso figures supposed to represent their looks in season two, or are these season one figures?

@normdapito For Cassian, it's a season 2 look. I don't think there's anything new about the K2 figure, so it's a general season 2/Rogue One look.

Went out on a little excursion yesterday to an area not far from me that I don't get to often. Stopped in at the sketchy GameStop hoping to find Jecki, and while I didn't find her, I found Peridia Ahsoka, Thrawn, and an Imperial Commando. I had Thrawn sitting in my POL, but since I was there, and Enoch was due to arrive the same day, I let my feelings get the better of me and bought him and cancelled the one in my POL. Forgive me, BBTS.

All 3 are really nice. Still wish ol' Sokie had come with the white cloak, but I'm sure we'll get a re-release in a few months. I'm cool to get a custom one too. Thrawn is great- an amazing likeness, and while otherwise a little plain, he feels appropriately bulky and imposing. The commando is great; I love the colors, and he has some really nice range. I always like the troopers that have a bit more color underneath to break up all the white armor. I dig the helmet too.

Enoch and the Night Trooper arrived as well, and they're great. I love that they utilize the new articulation as well. They really are some of the coolest trooper designs we've had in a while; I love all the little cracks and everything. My Enoch's left arm is the teeniest tiniest bit loose coming out of the package. Or so I think; maybe it's just a side effect of the new butterfly joints. Regardless, I can't wait for the inevitable single packed Night Trooper to army build a bit; the Ahsoka villain display looks really nice with all the baddies together at last. Enoch looks really nice next to Commander Pyre too.

Also saw one of the most egregious displays of figure swapping yesterday at Target. There were maybe 6 or 7 Privateers on the shelf, and every single one of them had been swapped with one of those 5 POA 5-ish inch Bo Katans. Being a bit of an anxious guy, I probably wouldn't have said anything normally, but there was an employee stocking the shelves who looked at me like I was either nuts or a criminal and didn't seem to see what the big deal was. In the end, he said, "They'll probably end up selling anyway- anything Star Wars usually flies off the shelves". Interesting way of doing things.

Anyone who knows anything about figures would know that shit isn't going anywhere. And the fact that every single one of them was like that is actually kinda disgusting. I would've been furios if I still needed him and the app said they had them all, just to show up to that. I get the employees reaction though. They're not paid enough to care. Maybe if it was.a department head or manager they may have taken them off the shelf, but just random red shirt number 3, they're not gonna give a fuck. If you cared enough to be bothered with it, the best thing would've been to take them to the service desk. They'll at least code them out and make sure they're not in the system, usually. But even then sometimes they just won't care lol.

@trunks3540 I have actually done that once or twice in the past, but like you said, they just don't seem to care. I think they ended up sticking them on clearance, but nevertheless, they put them back on the shelves for someone to buy. It's a weird time for things, at least here in NY. Most of the Targets around me have SO many things behind glass- mostly essentials like vitamins, deodorant, shampoo, etc., and you have to push a button and wait for an employee to come unlock the door for you. I've waited as long as 15 minutes for things because apparently only a handful of employees actually have the keys. A few Targets around me have started to put action figures behind glass too (they've all put Lego behind glass). I'm lucky that my closest one hasn't yet; I'd hate to have to ring someone every time I just want to look through the pegs. It's so nice every time I go home to Kansas to visit my family and not only is almost nothing behind glass, but they have a way larger selection. Not sure if there's just less collectors in that neck of the woods or if they get more stuff.

I think at least a small part of them is just sick and tired of dealing with collectors. They moved the Star Wars trading cards to behind customer service because people kept stealing them or fraudulently returning them. I'm sure there's a ton of collectors who pull that stuff with figures too. I've been there when fights have broken out over a figure, and I've had things snatched out of my hands. I still enjoy the thrill of the hunt- it almost makes it more satisfying when I do successfully manage to get something, but it's becoming more and more tempting to either just buy online or to pay a markup at a LCS (which are becoming more and more expensive in their own right).

Anywho. To keep things somewhat on topic, I placed a pickup order for the Target Shriek Hawk today and just got the notification he's ready for pickup. Was gonna keep my online order, but it was nice to see that the Black Series figs were still discounted. I'll save money wherever I can!

Has anyone been able to put their R5-D4 rocket boosters onto R2-D2?

The arm pieces that come off on R5-D4 feel glued onto R2-D2.  Oddly the arm deco also suggests my R5-D4 arms are on backwards from R2-D2.

I thought about swapping arms, but they're fairly solidly attached and don't appear to be designed to come off of either figure.

Unexpectedly got the Amazon Battle Droid 3-pack. This is my first Magnaguard, and man, that's actually a really good figure. Much better than I expected. The electrical parts for the staff don't stay on at all, though.

The Super Battle Droid is great and the main reasons I got this set. My first one made one of the top 10 figures of the year for me.

The standard Battle Droid is what it is. I don't even know how it's supposed to hold it's weapon. I'll add him to the shelf, though.
