Ah man, is it ever tempting. I used to have the 12 inch figure that came with the speeder and loved that. I already have two damned mauls as it is though heh
They also put out pictures of the Rebel Trooper/Stormtrooper set but no preorder date yet.
He can't even sit in that thing properly.

That helmet is shipping in September. ....of 2025!
That helmet looks like a lot of fun, and I haven't watched any of The Acolyte yet. I guess due to the nature of the scenes he is in the helmet looked like it should be dark grey to black. The copper colour kind of throws me off. Still looks pretty good though.
That Darth Maul is great, and makes me glad that I sold off my other versions. If I can snag this one it will be great even with whatever shortcomings there will be.
I wish in the Stormtrooper/Rebel Fleet Trooper set that the Rebel Troop could have had a new head sculpt, or at least came with a new alternate head sculpt on an extra swappable head.
I know I'm weak and an easy mark, but the different hair color on the Rebel Trooper was enough for me - I just want two visibly different generics. (I just said in the GI Joe Classified thread that I like how they use different skin tones and eye colors to differentiate between troopers.) I'd rather something like the Hoth or Endor trooper setup but this is okay. I'm more bugged that I don't NEED another Stormtrooper but I want the second rebel trooper.
Regarding this week's Acolyte:
Well, I've never read any EU stories with Greedo, but had to have his figure. A lot of Jabba characters died shortly after their introduction but I'm getting them too. So Jecki and Yord... They at least had character and were ready interesting for their time on screen. I've seen people hate on both but some, I think, are poised to hate every aspect of the show.
Maul straddling his speeder just cracked me up. That pose looks like me trying to look cool on a bike. Hilarious.
But for only $15 more I can get Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon in the new three-pack, so... I hope this new Maul's lightsaber hilts are made of sturdier plastic. The CW Maul's droop pretty much instantly which looks less than imposing.
@schizm you massive jerk, why'd you have to make such a good point?! Now I'm shopping for that set again...
Even though I have every Black Series Maul and have the new EP I 3 pack pre ordered, I STILL may have to try and get this SDCC Exclusive set. I just love Darth Maul, and it would be cool to have the Sith Speeder to go with him. (Even though it looks like he can't sit in it 😀 )
But at least it's one of those things where if I don't get it, I won't be upset since I have all the other Maul products. So far, I've been lucky. I don't need or want any SDCC Exclusives except for this set and the Mattel MOTU set.
On the trooper pack reveal: I'm really surprised and also not surprised that Hasbro didn't swap the head on the Rebel Trooper. How much would including a new head really have cost them? I've already got two of *this* guy. I just wanted one more but not triplets. They could at least have painted him blonde or something.
I saw someone did a custom figure of Vader unmasked with David Prowse's face, and he used the rebel trooper head with just the hair repainted. It looked amazing and now I can't unsee Prowse on this figure.
