I don't love the leaning into even more witches! storytelling area. It's kind of uncreative at this point to have a community of women and have them automatically be witches.

Did appreciate Aniseya's design, though.

Are we definitely to assume the witches were Nightsisters of Dathomir?  I kept looking for guys to be walking around with horns, but I never saw that confirmation.

Is there anything that indicates that? I figured they were their own group, but there's one plot reason I could see that makes it seem like the Dathomir sisters are not descended from them...

The Droideka is such a complex figure. I don’t even know if Hasbro knows why they put in so many moving pieces. It looks fantastic just standing with its guns. It’s definitely a fascinating piece.

Thwipp!

Can it turn into a ball and roll around? If only I had the space. I would honestly army build the droids just to have jedi fighting them in a display. As it is I only ordered 2 Supers and I don't even have any regular B droids. Destroyers are cool, but I don't have the space... 🙁

Y'know, with all the online rage and such about this show or that, I never hear enough about how great it is that we're living in an era when you can have a Jedi mystery show, a Force-less spy thriller, a beautiful alternative history anthology, a couple of lovely anthologies that fill in gaps between story arcs (Tales of...) a beefy Western, a live-action deep lore dive, and a melancholy war story all roughly at the same time. We're in the bloody Star Wars golden ages if the people who get mad realize they can pick and choose which ones to watch. I definitely have favorites in there but I'm just loving the option to look at Star Wars from so many different... points of view, as a certain old Jedi would have said.

And this is where I realize I've been so busy with book stuff I never took the droideka out of the box! It's literally sitting next to me in the office but I just look right through it when I have a minute to open it. Of course it's late enough I'll annoy my partner if I start crinkling plastic at the moment, but that'll be my reward when I get home from working at a comic con tomorrow. I think I we holding off opening it til I knew where I'm going to put that absolute unit of a figure.

Droideka is girthy for sure but surprisingly feels lighter than SBD.

Thwipp!

Ki-Adi finally arrived as I was heading out the door for the closing performance of my play, so I'll consider him a closing night gift. Can't wait to get home and mess around with that cone!

Droidekas hit my Pile of Loot, too. Knew I should've waited to ship Master Mundi, but I just had to have him.

Like you said, DocSilence- I'm just thrilled to be in a time where we have so much Star Wars! Movies, shows, games, books, figures. Makes my nerdy heart so happy!

I can only speak for me but I'm enjoying this series and hopefully we can get some of the witches and the other two Jedi.

I'm digging the show too - they've already revealed MOST of the figures I want so far, so I'm pretty happy, and if they've already outdone Andor's figure number (I think?) I'm guessing we'll get a few more, too.

Speaking of Andor, I saw a cosplayer in a prison uniform today and he reminded me I still hope we get Kino Loy.

Did you see the flash mob that ran through star wars celebration in the prison uniforms yelling "one way out"?

Man, ya'll weren't kidding when you said that Ki-Adi was a fantastic figure. Something about him just feels sturdier and slightly heavier. I don't know if I'll ever understand what went into him- why no pre-order, why it took so long to come out, or why he feels different, but I'm just glad it's all behind us. He's a great figure, with some really nice pinless joints. I can actually get him holding his lightsaber double-handed and close to his chest, which looks great. Though this has doubled down on my already quite strong desire for Bacara and a Nova Corps Member (which seems like it would be such an easy repaint for Hasbro). I've always loved that kinda maroon color on the troopers. And I'd actually take a holocron Ki-Adi, since that makes sense (though I'd love a voice button that says "What about the droid attack on the Wookies?")

So strange, this whole fuss of mine over Ki-Adi. I've always liked the prequel Jedi, but he's arguably the least "interesting" looking of them all. Maybe it's because he's so close to being human, or maybe it's the fact that, after all the main characters, he's the most featured one in terms of speaking. In terms of favorite Jedi, he's always been near the middle-ish of the list, but I've loved the figures of him I've had (which has only ever really been this one and the episode 3 one).

Which also reminds me (sorry- my brain is all over the place today). Has anyone ever made scaled-up versions of the old ROTS bases that the figures came with? I loved those little starship hallway pieces and connected a bunch of them together, and especially the little planet pieces (I think they were supposed to be either Felucia or Mygeeto?) I'd love to have a few of those bad boys on a bigger scale to pose Black Series on.

@joshsquash729 You're right about how he just feels like a really well made figure. I rotate my displays a lot but once in a while there's a figure I'm just like: okay, you live here now, forever" because they make me happy and he's one of those. Not a character I thought we'd get in this series but might be my favorite of the year.

I think it's cause maybe Ki Adi has a bit of a bland personality. The character, if you dive deeper, is fairly interesting. But his personality is still kinda meh. And he doesn't have that eye catching look like Plo or Saesee or Kit. But the figure is absolutely top notch. He looks even better with a purple blade. He just toozes TPM greatness, when they gave us some of these new jedi with new saber colors and we had no idea who any of them were. Before that the only jedi were Luke and Obi Wan for figures. And then the floodgates opened and we could do whatever with them. So many possibilities. He reminds Mr of that time.
