Walmart Collector Con is July 25-26 and BS Osha, Mae, and Ezra holocomms are some of the exclusives.

EDIT: Nope, my mistake, Ezra is available for pre-order tomorrow at places like EE, so possible fan channel? Osha is also available for pre-order tomorrow, not sure where. Mae is the Walmart exclusive.

Osha looks fantastic. I'm pleasantly surprised they were able to keep her a secret while also allowed to produce the main character at the same time as everyone else! Imagine that.

Soft goods on Holocomm characters are interesting. I really like the Holocomm pucks as stands, but I can't offload the figures fast enough - or cheap enough.

I never got around to buying Shin, but I did end up with a Baylan and I'm sorely tempted to get the Walmart version, take the cloak out, and return it. This is SUCH a lame play by Hasbro. I 95% won't do that but the temptation is absolutely there.

I totally get that. I've thought of similar things plenty of times but won't either.

Definitely want that new Shin, and I will get Osha tomorrow as well.

I don't feel I really need any of the Holocomm figures.  I don't buy many of them.  So far, I have only pre ordered Darth Vader and Darth Maul.  I will get Palpatine if they do him (which he is rumored to be coming in the Holocomm Series), and I would get Dooku and Princess Leia as well if they ever do them.

Outside of that, I don't really need or feel I have to have anyone else as a Hologram.

So... why are people getting this Shin? They didn't fix the height, and she may be coming with a red lightsaber. Is the cloak that important? Maybe if you missed the last one, which is still at retail price just about everywhere. At least that one is a crap shoot if you get orange or red for the saber. And this new one is exclusive. The only other thing they maybe did with this shin is it looks like they painted her armor bits silver instead of them being grey. But that doesn't feel like a big deal either, and I'm not 100% sure they did that, it just looks that way from these pics. I painted mines armor bits already, found one with an orange blade (and ordered some from etsy anyway), fixed her height with Moff Gideon legs, and gave her a spare cape I had. Also blackwashed her hair and darkened her roots a little, but that's a bit harder then swapping legs and giving her a cape. And the cape I gave her, looks almost exactly like the one in that pic. Fixing her height alone would've made it a buy. But they did literally the bare minimum, and still fucked it up. Only reason I preordere the Wal Mart Baylan is because I only managed to get 1, and he had a red blade. So I'm keeping him in package. And it was from BBTS, so if I ordered another one, it would probably still have a red blade. I'll just get the Wal Mart one and give him the orange blade from etsy. Cause everywhere else I've seen he's either gone or double retail.

The other Acolyte character chick is cool I guess. But I'm not getting those till they go on sale, or I'll miss out. Idc about most of them. Getting Daphne Keen would be cool. But it's not a priority.

I actually won't get Shin. I already convinced myself I don't want those two (height, sure, also... eh... their costumes are cool but not $50-something cool), so the cloaks weren't enough to sway me. but for anyone that held out, or missed out on the first ones, right on.

First off, I had to log back in to reply, and damn!  They wanted me to answer a math problem to prove I wasn't a robot, and it wouldn't let me reply and type numbers in the space provided.

One time I typed the answer, nothing appeared, but it let me sign in lol.

Back on track though.  That Episode 3 of Acolyte was odd.  Some very cringe worthy moments.  That song during the chant was stupid lol.

I think some of what they just added to Canon stories may not sit well with some.  it didn't break any Canon lore, but at the same time it messed around maybe where it shouldn't have gone.

There were things I liked about the episode.  Then there were some very cringe moments, and some thoughtless, weak writing.  

Not the end of the world, but not good either.  I liked episode 1 and 2 a lot more.

Yeah, I think that episode is gonna be a love it or hate it for a lot of people. I didn't expect to like it since I tend to not be into detour episodes, even if filling in backstory, but I really liked getting a wholly unique perspective on the Force. 

I didn't get what about it was supposed to be lore breaking, but I'm sure plenty would say I'm not s real fan, heh heh.

Osha looks really good- excited to get her in. I quite dig her costume; I'm not usually a fan of the more jumpsuit-y costumes, but something about hers I like. Maybe the colors? And I'm always down for a new little droid friend (though I do think Lola was another victim of my kitty- haven't seen her in ages. Poor Todo is still stuck under one of my shelves that I'll get around to when I'm feeling up to it).

Shin and Baylan are both skips for me. They look cool with the cloaks, I'll admit, but the lack of height fix is still a killer for me. I still think they're gonna re-release them both down the road, maybe even with the cloaks, and proper height. If not, I know how to fix my existing figures, and can always pick up a custom cloak somewhere.

I still don't know if I've seen a Holocomm figure that I absolutely need yet. Vader and Maul are tempting, if only because they actually work. Ezra too, I suppose, but his live action holo was colorized, not the blue. I still think they should release the prequel Jedi in the Holocomm collection- they actually appeared in that form; I still have a couple of the hologram versions of the episode 3 figures. Yeah, I know these are more "bounty pucks" than "hologram transmission", but still. It's a quick, easy redo, a reuse of the mold, and would be a nice throwback to the figures of old.
